It's a win-win in TO tonight. If the Leafs lose, well, we're happy. If the Leafs win, well, that means the Caps lose another one... |

Not great at picking up trolling on this site but those were joke proposals, right? If not, I really hope Vancouver fans realize that nobody wants Ballard and Raymond. Dubnyk's been fine and Luongo's contract is a burden. His value is so low. VAN fans need to stop drinking from the "Luongo is God" kool-aid fountain. |

I would give them Luongo for Coturier, Bryzgalov and a 1st. Use Bryz as the back up for the rest of the year, and then just use the amnesty buyout at the end of the year. - hertzman
Can't see Anquini handing Bryz 30 mill to take a hike. Best bet for that is Peluga. |

I think Rai would do well in Washington. He's never been given a real shot at making the team here. - Scooby_Doo
Good job on the blog. Anyone can rip anything, but it has some good stuff in there. It was well thought out . |

No, but if the Caps were really looking to improve their goal tending, and not willing to deal Ovi, what do you do? They can fit Luongo in under the cap right now with no problems. Would they want to move an expiring contract, Matt Hendricks wouldn't be a bad addition to our bottom 6 either Holtby or Neuvirth(preferably) as a backup for Schneider and maybe there is a forward swap to even the $ a bit.
Say
Luongo + Raymond
for
Neuvirth + Hendricks + Laich + pick |

Thanks buddy. Big night in our match up...I'm counting on Rask to carry the load while Schneider rides the pine. |

The way Canuck management and its fans treats its goalies just make me . Lu deserved better. That said, still doubt there is ever a deal involving the 2 teams(edit:edm/van) as both GMs are too cautious to make a deal the other would be willing to make. Considering we are division rivals. Only way division rivals make a deal is with a panicking GM on his way out the door. |

Don't you hate that when you have to leave a player on the bench because his position is full! |

Even though Lu is saying the right things I am not sure behind closed doors it is the same.
According to Botchford there was a deal on the table that was ready at the draft between Van/Tor . Lu vetoed it. I think he wants FLA and that is why he offered two other teams that would refuse (NYR and CHI) . THis leaves FLA and they offered peanuts so Gillis said thanks ,no-thanks.
This is why Gillis is saying ok then you are staying here. |

They do have alot of centers. The pick would have to be conditional, but could be high. |

Players not wanting to play in Edm is nothing new so can't hold them against them. Can't say I love living here.(Mostly cause I hate cities) Lu has shown great class in his situation even with the way he gets thrown under the bus every time he has a bad game. Rarely hear him complain about anything.
EDIT: And not sure why he would be refusing a deal that I am not convinced ever existed in the first place. Where is proof of said deal? |

I'm not sure Lu is upset behind closed doors. IMO he relishes his role right now. All the pressure is off.
I think Lu has grown up a lot over the last yr and a half. He understands now that he is a piece of the team, not the whole team. |
