I doubt it. I love to see Keith take another run at Daniel with Kassian on that line now. - fiveandagame
I would rather just win. Payback will come one time or another but the last time we took revenge on someone we lost a power forward for a year. |

Keeping both goalies is absolutely NOT an option IMO. This team needs a couple more pieces to really be competitive. |

I personally dont care if the Canucks Trade Lou or Schneider. I just want them to do it soon so we can rid Vancouver of this Awful circus.
Plus we need a top 6 forward pronto. - vancity787

um no....bertuzzi, auld and allen went for lu....do you follow the sport? - rune_74
Regardless history has shown, that you probably would get what you asked for Luongo for Schneider |

This is precisely why Toronto had shied away from acquiring talent for the past 8 years: it just gets too complicated.
After 4 games, Schneider is 2-2 with 1 shutout.
He's obviously terrible.

LOL! -- Yeah, that was just an attention grabber.
Yes, I did watch the game and although Lou played great... it was a mostly AHL team in Colorado. If he does the same in Chicago.... - Beatle_john
I think he will. He looks confident and has something big to prove. Your window is closing. Keep both goalies this season, grab some big guys at the deadline and make one more run at it...... |

Yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean I can properly articulate my thoughts with written language.
But now that the return for Luo included Auld and Allen, well that changes everything. |

The whole league hopes you keep both goalies
1.They are both great but only one can play or be pulled at one time
2.Nobody will pay the contract
3.No one will pay the trade price
4.If they could strengthen the team by trade it makes Vancouver a contender
So keep them both and enjoy the best goalies in the league
Tomorrow night in PEI watching Hawks and Canucks
Win or lose I expect a great game and I am really looking forward to the atmosphere and two skilled teams going head to head - PEIHawkFan
While I still think the game will be competitive and fun to watch we will miss Kesler very much in a game against the Hawks. |

If Gillis is a savvier dealer than Montreal's old GM (which I think he is) then we should net more than what Halak got, which I almost see as a give away. A top 6 forward and strong prospect (+ maybe even a decent draft pick) should be achievable. - AlexF
Agreed..... and a team looking to rebuild might trade an older 30 year old top 6 forward for a goalie like schneider......
Given Vancouvers 3-5 year time line with the current team I would think they would benefit from such a trade |

Not sure but Toronto should not be getting excited . If you thought the price for Lu was high the price would triple for Schneids - VANTEL
Sadly, you never really get much in goalie trades. |

And burning out Schneider, with an average or below average backup is that much better? Again, people seem to forget that Schneider was/is the Canucks team rep and was shuttling back and forth to New York every week as part of the PA negotiating committee with Malhotra, you don't think the stress from that's maybe one of the reasons Gillis isn't willing to trade Luongo this year? This season was never going to be a normal one under the circumstances, so holding off on making Schneider the anointed #1 for this year and giving him a full training camp/exhibition schedule next year so that he's ready makes more sense to me then trading away Luongo for whatever return you can get and making him play the lion's share of the games. |

Gillis and his fanbase will either figure that out one day or spend a 9+ mill/yr cap hit on goalies for the next 4 years at least. |

Will Keith man up and drop the gloves with Bieksa? - hertzman
I would love to see this happen. Bieksa would F him up. I was listening to the Ducks TV feed the other night and I believe they had asked Parros in years past who was one of the toughest guys in the league pound for pound and he said Bieksa...I love watching that guy fight when he decides to engage. |

I don't know, 5 million for Lu to play every second game or 5 million for Kessel to float.
I think I'd take Lu for 50% of the games over Kessel at 50% effort. - IanEsplen
