Yeah I feel people get a little too preoccupied with what's on the stat sheet and not how someone actually plays during the game, hence all the crap Stepan is getting.

The only valid criticism of Stepan is his speed. On that play where he chipped the puck ahead and skated in on a semi-breakaway, if he had decent speed it would have been a clear breakaway and he would have had more options.
