People keep saying don't bring any kids up from Connecticut...umm, why not? It really can't be any worse than what we have seen, outside of the Toronto game last week.

Some type of move has to be made before Saturday's game...if not then management is clearly blind or just arrogant

Question for all of you:

Do you think we will miss the playoffs?

(i.e. will this team get better as the season goes on, or be stuck in this rut for 41 more games?)

Im a full blown Rangers fan and always have been, but holy crap do they ever look like poop so far this year so far. They need Captain Cally back NOW and they really need to invest in some bottom six forwards cuz the ones we have are pitifull. Bickel, Halpern, Asham are all useless tits.
- rangerbug94

I've always disliked like asham so ican't wait till he's gone. Bickel is good teammate but he's terrible hockey player. Halpern is who is surprising and not in a good way. I wasn't expecting to be Mark Messier but holy poop, they guy is invisible.

You can tell Hank wants to call out his offense, he just looks miserable, again we're doomed.

If we make an upgrade or 2 and start winning, we will be ok otherwise forget it

Other than the Toronto game I haven't seen that full 60 minute relentless effort, hopefully that changes soon
- TPC

They were relentless against a horrible team. They have played Boston and Pittsburgh four times in seven games. Two teams that, even with the Penguins early struggles, are simply much better than the Rangers right now.

Wil that change? Maybe, but right now this team looks nothing more than a borderline playoff team.

Wow, only took 7 games to get you guys to bail on the system that won us 51 regular season games and 10 playoff games last year.

When Halpern got a chance to play last game against Philly he looked pretty good, especially on the PK. When your line mates are Bickel and Asham and you play about 7 mins a game, what do you expect really.

I think we'll battle for the 8th spot which is sad enough but if they don't improve immediately they're out and it's embarrassing, too much hype but then again what else is new over the past 19 years?

If they get healthy and Kreider & Callahan can support Richards, Gaborik and Nash sufficiently, the Rangers will make the playoffs. But nobody on here can be overly confident that this team is going to dramatically turn this around enough to just barely make the playoffs.

And what would you say changed from last season when we won 61 games?

Why have we gone from a top team to borderline playoff team?

We won't win with one scoring line, not a chance. People jump the gun and just cuz we added nash we all of a sudden became a stanley cup winner.. They should of looked past line 1 and then made their predictions. I'm sooo mad with the Rangers right now

Need to find some depth, all is not loss. Need to find players who are going to push some of these guys for roster spots. Everyone seems to comfortable out there.

Can't we just accept the fact that the league was just not going to allow Sid the kid and the pens to lose tonight.

There's enough of a sample size to be frustrated and concerned besides overly agitated, we know what they're capable of, the fact that it's not being carried out is an embarrassment, Tampa 4-1!

Little things, like attention to detail and lack of depth, with these injuries to two forwards that were figuring to be prominent in the top nine rotation. The team looks sloppy, which they haven't in years and a lot of players have not taken that next step.

But yea I agree with a lot of you. This team will go nowhere unless Stepan, Boyle, Hagelin, and Kreider help chip in on offense.

Hagelin 36 games and counting since last goal

Yeah, I agree it is frustrating. But I gotta believe that they will turn it around. Too much talent, especially on the back end which people tend to overlook.

The good news is we all agree that the team is capable of great things, they are just underperforming. Hockey is very streaky, so many teams experience awful losing streaks (we are 3-4 so not really a streak) and play well the rest of the year.

Gotta believe the talent will shine through.

The Rangers are going to be just fine. With that said, there is a lot of good teams in the East, so I wouldn't take any thing for granted. I know I am more aggressive than most when it come to acquiring players, but if I'm Slats, I am fixing the depth on this team by being real aggressive on the trade and free agency market.

Because frankly, after the first line, the lines look like crap too me now, and they will only get worse if they suffer another injury.

This this the 4th time in 7 games the rangers have literally gone through the motions and come up with NOTHING. This team is not the same team. They lack depth. Minus Callahan and Lundqvist what other player has looked hungry like they look last year. Maybe they overachieved last season, maybe we place too much hype on them this year. But what about this team has looked good to you?

I put it on loss of those solid depth players. Never thought I would say I miss Mitchell lol
