KLESSEL?!
- MunsterMike

Fil Kessle would be awesome for this team. All we our lacking is goal scoring. Fil Kessle is going to score goals. He's not going to past it to others.

It's Alex Daigle!
- NickTheKid87

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times:

No matter what the question is, Alexander Daigle is NEVER the answer.

Bill,

tim has speculated that G has a lwr body injury because he's not skating the way we're accustomed to seeing. thoughts?

- isaiah520

It's possible. He hasn't looked like himself. He's not the NHL's most explosive north-south skater anyway but he's very, very shifty cutting, turning and going east-west. Haven't really seen much of that so far.

I've just realized that "x player could score y goals playing with Giroux" is the hockey equivalent of "x player could hit y home runs at CBP"

When the Whale traded Pronger, they did get Brendan Shanahan in return.

Not a bad deal.

If Schenn can be like a more mobile Hatcher in his prime, then that trade will have been well worth it.

If this guy could just stay healthy, we'd be talking about a future hall of famer. He has the hands to be one, the rest of his body just sucks apparently.

Yeah, he's had really bad injury luck in his career. Really kind of flies under the radar, too

According to a team source, the new guy is former Philly Phantom Jon Sim. Released by San Antonio a few days ago. Unsure if SPC or PTO.

His numbers are still good but they could have been REALLY good:

05/06: 68 GP, 90 PTS (109 pts per 82 games)
06/07: 67 GP, 87 PTS (106 pts per 82 games)
07/08: 76 GP, 92 PTS (99 pts per 82 games)
08/09: 82 GP, 73 PTS
09/10: 60 GP, 57 PTS (78 pts per 82 games)
10/11: 62 GP, 57 PTS (75 pts per 82 games)
11/12: 80 GP, 84 PTS

If he stayed healthy, we'd be viewing him a lot differently (granted he played with Alfredsson and Heatley from 05-08 but he was an essential cog in that line).
