Seeing how Prosser is already in the doghouse, it's gotta be him. That leaves Falk and Kassian sitting up in the pressbox unless needed. Only issue is, Prosser was signed to 3 year one way contract last season. Stupid move by Fletch, imo.

If you have seen the Wild play recently Falk has been outstanding. Prosser will be put on waivers whenever Spurgeon is healthy and most likely wont be claimed unless a team is desperate. If Falk and Scandella continue to play as they have it may be Stoner who is next to go. Stoner has been very good so far but has such a limited ceiling and physical limitations.

I guess I haven't been paying close enough attention then because I've not been that impressed with Falk. I doubt they get rid of Stoner, big able body and a year left on a reasonable contract. Prosser and Falk are RFA's after this season. I would bet Falk and Prosser go before Stoner.

Yep, and while agree that Falk has stepped up his game so far this season, I do not think his play has been "outstanding". I just wonder if Spurgeon ends up on 2nd pairing with Gilbert or falls all the way to 3rd with Stoner/Scandella... bad timing on the injury Spurg!

Good take Sota. Don't get me wrong, Falk is servicable 3rd pairing D man, but he doesn't offer anything more than Stoner. He's got size on Prosser and other than that offers nothing more than him.

I think Spurg will find his place in this line up, most likely 2nd or 3rd pairing. After watching how well Brodin is handling his transition into the bigs, I don't see Yeo moving him out of the 1st pairing any time soon, unless it's strictly match up issues or creating more buzz on the 2nd or 3rd pairings. I'm glad to see Gilbert finally looking more like a good defensman. I should have known once I started savaging him a little he'd start stepping it up.

Prosser has 2 yrs left and will be a UFA. Falk while being younger than Stoner also is more skilled in every aspect. Previous to this season I would not have thought twice about Falk being the next to go instead of Stoner but through seven games its quite clear while Stoner is playing very well right now he is very limited in his ability and potential. It will play itself out though, once Spurgeon is activated one of the D has to go.

Geez, I hate to keep harping on you Brad, but no follow up on the big win vs Chicago and now no game day blog vs Anaheim? Did you fall off your bicycle again?
