i hate almost every sit-com on now. even the ones i've never seen. they're all horrendous. forced writing. terrible acting. not funny.
- hammarby31

I don't watch any sitcoms outside of the Office (which I'm laboring through without Michael Scott). Can't stand BBT, Two and a Half Men, etc etc

meh, not a fan of some of those early episodes ... especially the "Jerry" show. But after about the mid point of the first season it was an instant classic.

Not worst.

I just find Jerry to be really annoying.

Maybe more of my hate comes from his stand up. Just an annoying face to look at also. The Drew Carey show was miles above Seinfeld imo.

3rd rock from the sun was where it was at.

There is just no story line. All stupid one liners, and sarcasm. What happened to the crazy random humor?

Thats what made Big Bang theory good at the start but it became too mainstream.

I dont watch any sitcom thats new. Not a drama, or comedy. Storage Wars, Shipping Wars, Duck Dynasty and Beyond Scared Straight are the only real things I will watch.

The episode where Michael tries to go survivorman in the woods was amazing.

He was such a great character. I miss him so much.

I remember watching MASH back in Slovakia, but couldnt get into it here.

It's definitely skewed more to a US mindset, especially since it originally aired during Vietnam

George: What did you do today?

NBC Russel: I got up and came to work.

George: There’s a show. That’s a show.

Drew Carey and Third rock had their moments, but neither was Seinfeld.

I think the only two shows that are in the same league, as far as being consistently good for long periods of time, were The Simpsons and MASH.

Part of the fun of Seinfeld was not liking the characters. All shallow and self-absorbed asses.

- Jsaquella

I won't put them in the same league, but 2 other shows I like are Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens.

South Park has been around 15 or 16 years now. That should qualify, imo.
- FlyerGuy

The issue I have with South Park-which does qualify-is that Parker and Stone sometimes seem more interested in going for the shock value than the humor.

I still watch SP and do laugh when I watch it, and I appreciate those guys pushing the boundaries.

Absolutely. Saying a show isn't Seinfeld or The Simpsons isn't knocking it. Raymond was a great show, with a very good cast.

Of course, you could put Peter Boyle in some dreck like "Girls" and I'd watch it.

Nor did I say "every music enthusiast"

To clarify, there are some people who like music who dismiss the Beatles ... just as there are those who love comedy and dismiss Seinfeld.

yeah, no question ... some episodes are even kind of hard to watch AND laugh.
