Um, subtracting Luke from the D corps is a scary proposition -- I say it's a good trade as it has helped the Flyers.
- Flyskippy

yea, I agree.. i just elaborated a bit to Jsaq.. I think its very early, but so far its worked out well.

I personally would like to see Luke shoot more...

The Sharp trade...here we go...

The earkly returns seem like both teams got a guy that needed a change of scnery and has started off pretty well in his new situation,

- Jsaquella

Lol.. Im not comparing the two at all.. just saying I have a hard time saying a trade is a good trade after 6 games.. hell after a season. Look at Kessel for example. The Leafs got an immediate upgrade, and a hell of a player... but because of how terrible they finished, the Bruins end up with Segin and Hamilton...

I understand...I'm just going by the early results...at least there's no picks involved

In my opinion a trade that works out for both sides, and fills a need for both teams, is a good trade. I'm very happy so far with how the deal is working out for the Flyers. His play right now is even better then I expected.
- MJL

I agree.. I just like to reserve a little bit more time.. right now I think the Flyers have made out a bit better.. Schenn has played very well.. clearly a top 4 d-man who has even added a bit of offense while hitting everything that has skates.

But again, its still very early. Semantics though...

Thats big for me. I had hoped we would have gotten at least a pick to go with Schenn.. but it didnt happen. Had we given up a pick I would have been bummed.

"Lukes" are not generally known as shooters. They're better with their melee weapons -- not as random as a blaster.

Lets get real here. The Flyers have sucked on faceoffs since Primeau retired. They neglect the need every damn year.
- twpguy

Matt Read should get more of a shot. Schenn & Giroux are better than 50%.

At least one episode of Sienfeld and probably a huge chunk of American cultural history.

I don't disagree at all that it's early. I did not expect Luke Schenn to play this well out of the gate. I expected some growing pains, which I'm sure they will come at some point. I'm just glad to see that my suspicions of the hype about his footspeed and skating are true. That it's pretty much malarkey.
