Why are people so concerned with rumours from Eklund? Has anyone ever heard a rumour from EK that really happened? Are you that desperate that you want him to continue to just make stuff up to make you happy and for hits.

He's supposed to be an "insider". I know pretty much none of the rumours come true but it's fun to discuss possibilities, and at the very least, rumours start the train of thought. Besides, I don't think any of the Seasons Ticket Holders paid their money to read some sports blog. Ek promises rumours to these people and they deserve them.

If the Canucks didn't have Schneider then they would be glad to keep Luongo. They have a younger goalie who they think can carry the load. It doesn't take a genius to understand why they are looking to trade Luongo. Although I'm not surprised you're having a difficult time understanding this all.

Schneider is better than Luongo...that's why. He's younger, cheaper and better. His age and maturity fits with our current cores aspirations and he'll still be here when the next wave enters the picture. He's a perfect fit for the city and Luongo want's out. Not much else to it.
