His cap hit is manageable, and we've seen many great goalies play well during the late stages of their careers. Lu's gettin' a raw deal. I hope he gets traded to the Leafs and they win the cup.

Its the fact hes almost 34 and has 9 or 10 years left on his deal.

He also has a lot of mileage on him, unlike most of the goalies who play well late in their careers.

Then throw on top of that the youth needed to make the trade. Its not the direction the Leafs should be going. You as a Flames fan should understand this.

It looks like the Leafs are targeting Kipper as the short term fix to their goal tending issues. We all know Calgary won't need him this year..........neither will the Leafs, but at least the Luongo to Toronto (no way in hell) rumours can die.
