But the Canucks didnt. So the Vancouver Canucks not winning the cup means what exactly? That they won a Cup?
If its about the city, and not the team then lets discuss that. Otherwise, stay on topic and lets talk teams that are in the league. |

I (fake) googled the Vancouver canucks and it clearly states they merely chose not to play for 75 years after owning the Cup
so its true what he said

OHHHH. Thanks for clearing this whole thing up.
In that case, like I was saying, congrats on the Cups. They were almost as difficult to win as the Grey Cup. Very big deal. The Maple leafs are steeped in such a winning tradition. How they have been able to maintain such a high level of success even once the league expanded to more than 6 or 7 teams is beyond me. Oh wait...
I would love to discuss the city too if you want. |

13 cups big guy!
So lets discuss the cities sports teams then.
Marlies made the finals last year.
Argos won the Cup last year.
Raptors still in the NBA, somewhat,
Jays won back to backers in 92/93
13 Cups for the Leafs

It was so easy for the Leafs to win the cup with a 6 team league, yet the Canucks found it too difficult to join the league, let alone win any themselves. I wonder why the Millionaires didnt win in a 6 team league... |

I'm not sure you are grasping the concept of what a "city" is.
If you would like to discuss sports teams that's something else.
Also, could we keep to things that have happened in our life times? I can vaguely recall the Blue Jays winning the World Series. Which is some how supposed to be insulting to me? I like the Blue Jays. Only team in Toronto that can win something in a league with more than 8 teams in it. |

Oh, so now the concept of "city" changes after you make your Vancouver Millionaires point? How convenient.

So we went from discussing teams in the NHL, to teams that arent in the NHL and now we're going to leave sports out of the discussion too?
Easy there big guy. We're here to talk sports. Not how much you love sidewalks and grass. |

No need to get mad dude.
You said "If its about the city, and not the team then lets discuss that." So I tried to take you up on that. If that's too difficult of a subject for you to tackle then we don't have to. You can continue to bask in the glory of what happened half a century ago if you'd rather do that too. I just like laughing at whatever you say, no matter what we discuss. |
