Girgensons would be the one but we won't see him for another year or two.

I've heard this. Something about him getting his National Responsibility done quicker than usual so that he can play NHL hockey. He's been playing with grown men since he was 17 if I'm not mistaken. I'd certainly rather see him out there over Kaleta, Ellis, Scott, Hecht, even Gerbe so far this year...

That could be Ott OR Leino.....I don't feel he needs TWO defensively responsible players on his line....

In the off-season I was really hoping for Ryan Suter or Matt Carle. I think Tyler Myers can become that kind of D-man we need for a cup run but I think he needs someone to look up to and learn from. Unfortunately there is not much he can learn and gain confidence from Regehr or Leopold

Edit: Drew Doughty would be my comparable as far us where Myers is right now. Correct me if I'm wrong but Doughty has no points so far?

Well, I have no idea who we would trade. I assume if someone like Stafford went, then we would move Leino or Ott up on to the Ennis line, leaving a space for the returning winger to take their place. You can't talk trades and assume EVERYONE is still going to be on the team after the trade. like i said, there's really no point in speculating who we could trade and who we could get, because that's just spinning our own wheels. The reality is, that's Regiers job and i'd like to see him get moving on it.....
