It comes down to coaching, we have all seen what the team is capable of when there on their game, but they can never gel. It's on Lindy to get them playing cohesively and he hasn't gotten it done.

If we miss the playoffs this season I'm ready for a new coach
Move lindy into the front office or something out of respect

And how much more on a 2year deal u think Myers would've gotten?
Even if he got 4mil per,
That works out to a savings of only .75mil over 8 years
I'd rather have the extra 2 years to evaluate Myers before giving him that big deal

Plus, he wouldn't be dealing with the pressure that comes from getting such a huge deal for anothe couple years when he's presumably me more developed and mature

I just really don't see it as much of a risk as some people. Like I said he's not on the fence of being a bust. He's on the fence of rounding out his game to be a shut down number 1 guy, or just another good player. We have over 70 million and 17 years locked up between him and Ehrhoff and niether of them are exactly impressing me so far. I looked it up the other day and since Ehrhoff has been here our PP has had a decrease in production, he also himself only has 1 PP goal in the 70+ games he's played. That was 1 of the major reasons he was signed was to QB the powerplay and take pressure off Myers to work on the little things defensively. The whole teams system is not thriving under Ruff it's not just Myers.

I find it pretty interesting that the biggest scumbag in the league Patrick Kaleta comes from the scum that is Western NY....just straight up dirt.

It does save us if he turns out. Case in point Myers could have recieved an offer sheet for a ridiculous contract and we would be forced to match it. All of your math is based on hypotheticals. Also Myers has accomplished more than Subban already with winning the Calder, he would have gotten more on a 2 year deal based on that alone

Again though, it's not that I dislike Myers, i think he'll be fine...
I just disagree with the idea that the deal he signed saved us any significant amount of $$$

My honest opinion from what I have seen from this team to this point is that they have no identity.

They appear lost far too often.

Weber played a very good game last night and kudos to Weber for beating Scott to confronting Brown.

Liked Webers game. Nice sliding block on that 2 on 1 as well. Good all around game by Webbs. He deserves to be in the top 6 before a few players.
