The best this team can hope for as currently constructed is a playoff round. As much as Lindy does need to find a new job, this really is a poorly constructed team.

Ellis gives 100% and didn't get beat - good old Miller and Leo got beat. Ellis is far from the problem, while I agree Lindy needs to go, Ennis can cut it at C - might be better off with Ellis out there than that 120 pound weasel getting pushed around.

Ellis is the problem, that's what you gotta realize, it' starts and ends with Ellis. It's Lindy's obsession with "hard workers" who wont lose the game for you, they also will never win the game for you either. People can bash Miller and Myers all they want, there not the issue. The issue is Lindy and his Matt Ellis/Jochen Hecht/Adam Mair/ Chris Taylor etc etc etc obsession. HE WILL NEVER WIN!!!!!!!!!

I thought Myers played better but Leo is horrible and Ehrhoff had to many giveaways. Ennis is just to small and we are going to get plastered up the middle.

Ehrhoff played over 28 minutes tonight. He did have a few giveaways, I'll give you that, but his game overall was solid. Sekera was fantastic.

The reason I say Myers wasn't good is because he's getting beat along the wall a lot, he's not getting to loose pucks quick enough. He's always a step behind. Instead of actually going in and trying to get the puck he just stands there hoping it pops out to him.

Not sure how obvious any of that is on TV, but when you've got a birds eye view, it's very noticeable.

Yep. I honestly like Leo, but that was pathetic. reminded me of Regehr's failure trying to defend Read which led to us being eliminated from playoff contention.

Ellis shouldn't be out there with 48 seconds left in a tied game when it's an offensive zone faceoff. No, he didn't lose the game for us. But Lindy should have had our offensive players out there. Someone who could have actually had a chance to put the game away.

I'm not sure why he wasn't hugging the post on that last one, but in general, he hasn't been the problem this year.

Ehrhoff was not terrible. Him and Sekera were the best 2 D men out there. I also liked the way Weber played, but he unfortunately missed almost an entire period due to penalties.

Myers and Leopold were both a mess tonight.

You're probably right. He bought the team as a hobby and that's doing a disservice to the fans. A serious owner has to run the team like a business, that's what it is (maybe not to the extend that MLSE runs the Leafs like a business). What's Ruff going on now, 16 years? Would Pegula tolerate someone in his gas business accomplishing essentially nothing in 16 years? Doubt it.

Precisely. They are working so hard, it would seem, on building a family atmosphere in the org that people are far too comfortable. It's a good idea - make working for this org really mean something - but taken too far, the results are less than inspiring.

Ehrhoff had by far his worst game. He was confused tonight, still can't get shots on the net and was flat footed and let people walk around him.

If the guys getting PAID would put the puck into the net - Ellis could do what he is here to do - eat up 7 or 8 minutes of ice time a game. That is the problem - we can't beat bad teams - Ellis is hardly the problem

We all see that he loves the lunch pail gang, the hard workers, the Lindy Ruffs of the team.

But the question must be posed: if he loves hard workers so bloody much, why are the guys who are a cup of coffee from being waived or sent to Rochester the only ones who "work hard?"

2nd period threw a pass right to Bozak I believe at center ice and then let him skate right by him for a shot on Miller. He also was awful on the PP once again with a few horrible drop passes, he looked lost tonight, the reason he got so much ice time is because Weber was gone for 15 minutes and Brennan was brutal.

I honestly just want him to start dumping guys. I'm really not concerned with the mediocre prospect or mid round pick that we'd get for guys like Leo. Screw it, trade him for a 6th or 7th. All he is doing is taking the spot for a young guy like McNabb that could easily step in and do a better job.
