Quick poll. What's more insufferable?

1. UG after a loss.

2. UG after a win.

- Leeman4Gilmour

can't it be both?

Powerplay time would be nice but a spot in the top-six would be nicer.

Believe it or not, not everything can be defined by video games.

The third line is not obligated to be a checking line. This isn't NHL95.

Carlyle typically has his second unit do a lot of the work checking the other team's top line. The third is free to contribute offense, as well.

Liles is playing on the wrong side again....he has a real hard time on his offhand. Not sure if there's a solution there.

Probably also to do with the fact that we just won a game in the final seconds, yet TFT's first post is about how leafs management and coaching staff screws up.

About a month ago I ripped into Frattin as a Chad Kilger/Todd Warriner hands of steal....my first post tonight, I said I was wrong and what a game by the kid.

Tonight's a night for some positivity. Maybe tomorrow we can get back to critiqueing poop.

- mykokes

Fine then.

really the only line that got over played was the bozak line imo

if kadri and frattin were played hard at the end of the third.. they dont have the gas to make that last second rush

things worked out. they won. next.

Other than the grigogretzky goal (I thought is was weak) Reimer was a beast

It was bad luck he was moving over to see the puck and as he moved the five hole opened up

Liles has SUCKED this season. He's supposed to be an offensive defenseman but hasn't contributed anything really. His skating looks bad too.
- blahman20

4 points in 6 games.. not too damn bad for a blue liner

just plays a solid game with lil flash.. effective, but wont grab your attention

Believe it or not but Frattin is a better player than McClement and should be on the 2nd line for both offensive and defensive purposes. And if you really knew anything about Carlyle it's that the 2nd and 3rd lines do not operate like that in terms of 5 on 5 ice time. If you don't believe it, go check the 5 on 5 ice time of his previous teams. The 2nd line still gets more ice time than the 3rd line and that's where Frattin should be instead of McClement.

And when they get hurt, give the ice time to Frattin and Kadri, not 4th liners like McClement.

Turned his body toward the boards to take a hit from behind at the bench. Tried to sell it as if he was shot. Refs gave him 2 minute misconduct.

Habs up 4-3 with 4 to play.

Edit: Looked like Lapierre in the playoffs from a couple of years ago.

Maybe he liked Kadri and Fattin together since Frattin got 3 points last game???

And yet, Frattin seemed to have benefited from it. As did McClemment.

Come back and whine about it after a game where it doesn't work out.

Carlyle said he screwed up last game focusing too much on matchups.....you're right, we gotta get kadri and frattin's ice time up, and I think as the coach gets more comfortable that will happen. As you said before, guys have to earn it, and thus far, the kids are earning it. IF in 2 weeks their minutes are still down, rant away.
*Again, on that sabres 3rd goal, I think Carlyle thought he saw something that didn't actually happen.
