None of those guys are underrated, so to speak. Phaneuf maybe.. that's it though. Kadri and Kulemin are regulars on most trade discussions when it concerns the leafs (which is too often). Frattin is developing, not underrated. As for Reimer... that's open for debate. - A_Tree
Depends on what you consider to be underrated.
Bozak's been in numerous trade discussions.
Bozak's just a couple years older than Frattin, so you could say they're both developing.
Reimer hasn't gotten enough credit for how well his rebound control has been, and how much more effectively he's covering the upper half of the net. Shots are still getting by, but he's tidying up well, and that's cutting a softy out |

His peers voted him the leagues most overrated player last year. Does that de-value him so much that he becomes undrrated? perhaps - 1979AD
Its a trend to bash the Leafs, from the media to fans to players. Its not Dions fault the team hasnt made the playoffs in almost a decade, but he does pay the price for it. Same with Kessel.
The team is the joke and laughing stock of the league, but the problems dont begin and end with Torontos current best players. |

people love to hate him but i havent seen one legitimate point against him
he's done nothing for the last 3 games..
cept get a point last night
so he was a ppg for the first three and now he is dealing with an injured winger and a slumping winger
but of course the fact he isnt producing over his head is his fault.
right.. that makes about as much sense as horseradish flavoured pancakes - Dozzer
He doe's his nearly ever night as far as I'm concerned. How often do you see your self saying "oh poop, bozak just flunked that pass" or " (frank), bozak gave up the puck again"...
A couple other players come to mind - not him. |

Those are the good things that make me like him as a 3rd line C on a good team. Then there's the things like watching Kaleta power hump and noogy Phil (frank)ing Kessel for a full 30 seconds. I get that he's not a tough guy, but c'mon Kaleta's not a big man, he could've at least tried to pull him off his linemate and team's best scorer. - 1979AD
defending teamates has nothing to do with talent.. thats a character thing
and yes, i would be the first to say he is being miscast out of necessity
but someone gets in kessels face? where the (frank) are ya JVR? your the big power forward on that line.. gets your mitts dirty ffs.
but no, blame the smallish centre for not being the most physical

If you're hated at school - you probably would draw praise from your peers if they ran a poll either.

the only way you can be disappointed with him is to expect him to be something he is not.. and if you do that.. its on you for your ridiculous expectations, not on him for not achieving them |

I blame the smallish centre because he was right there in the camera frame watching it happen with a bewildered look on his face. I don't know where JVR was at the time.... I was only angry towards Bozak because he could be seen. It's a team issue, not just Bozak. |

the issue is that Bozak is being used as a #1 Center out of necessity, not because he is a true #1. Now he is a fine player, has some good qualities that the leafs need and use (faceoffs are one of them), but not in a first line center role. Even playing with an Elite scoring winger like Kessel, who he has some chemistry with, he tops out at 55 points ... so far in his career he is averaging 45 points over 82 games.. Thats great for a 2nd or 3rd line Center. In my opinion, when Kessel is slumping like he has been so far, he needs a playmaker to help bring him out of it, set him up so he doesnt have to do all the work, at the moment it seems like Kessel is the one trying to do everything, he could easily have 3 more assists if his line mates had more finish..like Kessel himself.

He's solid - people want a number one centre though, and that's why he gets flack. |

He's a good 3rd line centre for a top 9 attack. We can't fault him for not being anything more skill-wise. I do fault him for lacking the balls to stand up for his teammates though. You can blame someone for a character flaw, not a lack of skill.
