As far as I know, the entire re-entry waiver procedure is gone - so if you bring him back up, another team can't claim him. - Atomic Wedgie
we should probably see a callup today, perhaps with gardiner going back to the marlies, or brown on IR |

i disagree regarding Hamilton, i think they are still evaluating him as bottom 3, dont forget orr and steckel are gonzo next year so... - truth.serum
And he possesses the ever important "Toronto-boy" DNA...interesting point yesterday on the skill of the Oilers 4th line being better than their opponents; not problem bringing a guy like Hamilton in on 4th line and hope a guy who can throw 'em (and play) like Biggs or Broll are ready to make the jump sooner rather than later and provide that toughness combined with ability. |

One win and everyone is all happy.....cant wait for the Leaf world to collaspe again with the next loss. |

so here is a question, what do you do with bozak and macarthur? clearly steckel and orr wont be back next year, i hope, and since bozak is clearly not a first line center, he doesnt really fit in as naz and grabo make a good 2nd and 3rd with jay playing 4th.

I got the feeling that 99% of the reason Connolly was sent down was his attitude.
So at least in theory, if he changed his attitude, he would be considered to be brought back up.
I don't follow the Marlies, though, so someone else will have to weigh in on whether or not the guy is putting forth any effort. - Atomic Wedgie
Interesting.
What gives you this idea? |

Neither Hamilton or Connolly are part of the teams future plans.
That said, they would only be up to fill in for injuries, so it really doesnt matter what the plans are for those two beyond this season.
If we're going on plans moving forward, Colborne should get the call. - systemtool
moot point.
mac will be fine by tomorrow so mcclement will drop back down to the fourth and steckel will be pushed to the wing.

But is he worth 6.8, is he worth more than 5.5? - bixll
The open market will say he is. He's one of 7 players in the past 4 years to score 30 plus goals each year.
I would think we could get him for 6.5....but who knows |

He would have been up by now at some point if that were the case. They like his work with the Marlies. Perfect fit. He's one of the leaders on that team. |

The fact they have Gallagher and Gionta greatly reduces the average height of the team. LOL.
That being said, both players don't play small. - Pecafan Fan
Looked pretty good last night, fiesty, from flipping channels back and forth, Gally has a hell of a shot. |

frattin was before him on the callup list, hamilton only comes up if its for the right role... say if brown or orr went down |

I'd almost rather give Zigomanis a shot at the 4C before Steckel.
If Steckel isn't winning draws he's (frank)in' useless.
At least with Zigo you know that he'll bust his nuts knowing that this is probably his last shot. The guy is a face off machine and decent on the PK. Also brings a little leadership. |

My point is that if Hamilton were part of this teams plans, he would at least be rotating games with Orr, Brown, Stecks etc.
Just like Fraser, Holzer, Komi and Fransen have been doing. |

Doesn't have an NHL contract (has a PTO) , so no chance seeing that. |

First time in quite some time for the habs that rookies can play on the team and actually play well. |
