I'd offer the Leafs one of the following deals for Kessel, but I'd also want a throw-in 3rd liner (ie, some sandpaper) or a 3rd round pick:

(i) Dumoulin + Lovejoy + 1st
(ii) Dumoulin + Bortuzzo + 2nd
(ii) Harrington + Lovejoy + 1st
(iii) Harrington + Bortuzzo + 2nd

I'd consider adding more if the deal if took place this summer after Shero had extended Malkin & Letang & Kessel had extended at a reasonable rate, but not Matta. I'd want to keep Despres, Morrow, Matta, & Pouliet in the Pens system unless the deal was a no-brainer, long-term solution. (ie, Bobby Ryan or something).

I highly doubt the Leafs are anxious to take either Lovejoy or Bortuzzo. Those guys mean nothing. They are going to want way more than that for a goal scorer like him.

Thinking it was more of a matching the Isles for their speed than anything. Tangradi had not been too bad on the 4th line the last game or 2

I feel bad for Bortuzzo!!!He should be playing every other game switching off with Lovejoy. When he gets his shot he will be so rusty.
