Perhaps Scuderi can find his way back. I still think he has a lot of game left. He made some goal saving plays last night in my limited viewing of the Kings game. - Gunner Staal
Looking back, paying Scuderi 3.4 Mil a year would have ended up a great deal. Hindsight is 20/20 |

Even Hal Gill got 2 years at $2.25 mil. Both of those contracts look better than watching our defense get toasted by Montreal in the 2010 playoffs. |

It did end up being a great deal. Unfortunately Shero cant build a team under the assumption the cap will go up 10M. As you said, hindsight 20/20. |

I threw it out there because of an article from a Toronto sports writer saying they should trade him. I guess i'm not the only one who could see Kessell fitting in nicely on Crosby's wing. - cap1681
do u have a link to that article? also im trying to find what rossi was listening too |

Yeah, the Pens were up against the cap that summer if I recall correctly. Both Staal & Malkin basically doubled their cap hit going from their entry level deals, and Letang only had one more entry level year left. Shero had to make hard choices. |

Scuds could be had right now IMO.

i would absolutely love a kessel deal, provided shero thinks he can make the cap work for letang and malkin. although at around 5 mil, kess isnt going to cost any more than any other upper level winger they could possibly acquire. im unsure of what toronto would want from us in that trade though. |

no but there is nothing else to talk about lol and getting TO fans fired up is easier than knowing a flyer is going to take a cheap shot at a pens player... |

Wow, didn't realize Tavares didn't have a single point in the series last year.
The Islanders really screwed with the Penguins chances at the Cup last season by taking those last two games. We got a bad matchup with the Flyers. Revenge tonight! |

The Pens would have lost to whoever they played in the 1st round with the uninspired attitude they went into the playoffs with. |

This will be an interesting stretch with Niskanen out. 2-4 weeks doesn't sound bad, but if it get close to 4 weeks, that is more than a quarter of the season.
I haven't been a big fan of how the Pens have handled young players like Despres (and even Tangradi in the past). They have been given a short leash, and really protected minutes. At some point you have to have some faith in these young guys and let them play.

Interested to see how Brian Strait looks tonight. He's their 4th most used defensemen based on shifts and TOI. Glad he got a chance to get some real NHL minutes. |

Anyone use Game Center on an android phone or tablet?
I was thinking about buying it, but tried it last night on my android tablet, and the video was crappy. It was crystal clear, but choppy, like it was missing every other frame or something. I don't have an issue playing really any other video or streaming, but was bummed with Game center looked like crap. |

Acquiring Kessel is very possible. Shero has put himself in a position where he can afford to give up a 1st round pick and a d prospect for a top winger. We have 5-6 D prospects with NHL potential and we will not use them all if Letang, Orpik, and Nisk stay for at least 4-5 years. I'd rather use a 1st round pick in part of a deal to acquire a proven 30-40 goal scorer rather than using it to pick an unproven 18 year old. |

I used it on just my IPhone 5 with the LTE connection and it worked almost flawlessly. Sometimes the quality got low, but it was watchable and I didn't miss a second of the game |
