This isn't the same team as last year. No training camp, new faces, and new roles for certain players. 10 games is about the time a sample size can start to be trusted. Normally I like to see 20 games but that is almost half the season this year.

Fact is 87 and 71 need to be better. They are making very uncharacteristic plays with the puck. I have never seen them have the puck deflected so often in their careers.

Not sure which islander it was but he straight up outworked sid and dumped the puck out of the zone...not good seeing sid out worked..he barely fought for it. No structure, no grit, just nothing. I believe that was by far the worst game in the crosby era..

Best way to put it is that there was zero emotion..oh until the last 30 seconds when cooke tried...about 59min 30sec to late

We've def been beaten by worse scores but..its like no one cared at all. It was a weird one for sure and hopefully they get this turned around.

I think the jig is up.

The funny thing is there are a few players on this team playing for contracts, either re-upping with the Pens or auditioning for other NHL teams. Many are playing like they have no recognition of that.

Its not an excuse because clearly every player has the ability on every single night to put forth an acceptable level of effort, but we are still in the same time frame window of what would be the preseason. That window is closing though and the time is now to get it together.

This team has no structure, no plan at all. "Play north-south Penguins hockey" that is how every team in the league plays, its called hockey.
Its a shame we have already wasted 3 years of Malkin, Crosby, Fleury, and Letang's career with this guy behind the bench.

Please do not reply to me " he won us the cup" because that is total crap. Michael Therrien's system was in place, a team with a plan and structure. The problem was that year that the team stopped responding to him, SAME WAY THEY HAVE BYLSMA. All Bylsma did was loosen the reins, that was all they needed that year. There is a reason hockey coaches only last 3-4 years unless you are a HOF coach, they lose effectiveness. This man has lost the team and has no sign of getting them back.
