Imho its the linemates. Look who he is playing with? Sure Simmonds and Read have jump but are they top line guys? Maybe 2nd liner's, but still better suited to a 3rd line role.

The D has been adequate but does nothing creatively in the offensive zone. Isn't a real threat to score from the point either. It is what it is.

B. Schenn. Luke has been a pleasant surprise. Very encouraged with what I have seen from him.

He's in a long list of names for that category, yes but for now I'm focusing on the actual liability I perceive him to be.

The players have to make passes and get pucks on net etc. there are adjustments Lavy can make but he's not playing with a full deck on the blue line either.

His defensive effort is a concern to me. He has never been a great defensive guy though. Not to say he can be lazy on the back-check that needs to improve.

In the offensive zone or transition the guy is trying to do too much. Who on the offense is a real threat to INITIATE plays consistently. Giroux and Briere. On the whole team its maybe those two guys and Kimmo.

Look at the lineup. From top to bottom, including D.

Who scares you on there if you are another team? A handful of guys.

I give Coots a break because I do see him trying. Schenn on the other hand is driving me insane. Flyers need changes in the summer. Keep some of the youth, but dont build mediocrity.

If the Flyers have a bad weekend, there will probably be some kind of changes.
