Brutal start to the season, but stay the course. 19 games to finish the season after a 5 day layoff from March 19 to the 23rd.

So this is where the Flyers are at. We finally have a goalie playing well and the rest of the team goes to poop. Think about that for a second.

I'm not liking voracek at the point pp

Im getting real tired of Jake real quick. Its one thing if he doesnt shoot. If he continously makes bad passes on top of that....

Speaking of bad passes. What the heck is up with Giroux. Gotta be nursing an injury or something.

The lack of effort is a huge concern. BUT.

People are suprised why? The time for excuses is over.

You have a team that really lacks creativity/star power on offense, and one aging star on D.

The rest is filled with second tier guys, that seem to be looking for someone to lead.

The team is just not that good. The most concerning guys to me are Voracek and Brayden Schenn.

The ensuing losses will be blamed for too many days off. In some seriousness, my sense is they haven't played well after many days rest the past few seasons

The sad part is that there's not alot of new guys on the team. It's not like they are learning a new system or where the other players should be. Most of them were here last year. With the number of passes they completed to Rangers players it looked like they were confused as to which team they play for.

I know. Was just showing my support for Lavi.

Jagr was constantly hurt last year, I don't think it was a mistake letting him go. I certainly wouldn't have given him 4.5 million.

Missing Hartnell hurts, not a lot of finish at the moment.

Giroux is making mistakes but it is because he is trying too hard. I wont defend his back-checking though.

You cant blame this on Giroux. Look at the lineup. Would that really strike fear in you if you were another team? (frank) no.

He's done nothing so far this season.
- stveshdy

He's in a long list of names for that category, yes but for now I'm focusing on the actual liability I perceive him to be.

Who's working on the Bryz "calm down" GIF.
- Duran76

Also his breakaway/rebound save at the end.

I didn't see the calm down.

Voracek and Schenn are playing terrible. Schenn constantly getting his shot blocked.

Am I crazy thinking I'd rather try L Schenn on the PP at this point? I thought he looked confident on the blueline with the puck the past several games, isn't afraid to get it on net, etc. Maybe a concern is being caught and guys going the other way, but I don't know.

I don't think Laviolette deserves to go. Maybe shaking up the assistants could shake things up a bit. I know Mullen has done well with the PP in past years, maybe look at get a fresh voice to work with the PK.

What a waste the rags gave them some many chances to tie this game. If they did and they they won the game this could have be the turning point.

This team has no heart. Even mad max seems flat.

my glasses are old and I need to refill my contacts, I can't read the names on the jersey with these lenses but it just seems like its always him making bad passes out there on the pp. Lavy can't keep rolling him out there for that.

He's the teams best player and best offensive player. Giroux definitely deserves blame as much as anyone. The Flyers had one dangerous offensive player tonight. Danny Briere.

Giroux deserves a big hunk of blame. He's playing like crap, and honestly his effort hasn't been beyond questioning. Look at the 4th Tampa goal from Sunday. Giroux literally stopped skating on the back check.

He's played poorly, hasn't fought for the puck like he has in the past and honestly, he's been as big a disappointment to me as Voracek or Bryaden Schenn have so far.
