I'm not on the "Fire Laviolette" bandwagon, but it's the coach's job to get the most out his players. Not just say, "I don't have the right players for my system." You change the way you play based on the strengths and weaknesses of your roster, imo.
- bradleyc4

Oh, I get that. It's gonna take time for this team to get all of that together, IMO. Snider shouldn't be rushing at the same time, Lavi's got to get everyone on the same page.

i don't really like lavy all that much, but it's six games into the season and they're (as you know) pretty handily outplaying the opposition 5v5 for the most part. a six-game stretch of hideous special teams isn't exactly unprecedented, it's just exacerbated early on in a condensed season.

While I was looking for that pick I found what might be the best halloween costume of all time...

At least I hope it's a costume.

I hate that that episode is NOT available on Netflix.
- Jsaquella

I tried the free month of Netflix. Meh. I don't watch enough TV/movies and a lot of the movies I like aren't on there (no Mad Max, for example).

The Garden will be rocking. The World's most famous arena!
- TJ

That it is most certainly is and will be. Playing there for the first time is a milestone, regardless of whether it's an athlete or entertainer.

Side note: You'd think MSG management would invest a little more money in better ice care for their hockey team. MSG ice is annually among the worst surfaces in the entire NHL-- just as bad as the rinks in Florida. It's been a chronic problem as long as I've been following hockey, which dates back to the mid-1970s. Yes, I know MSG hosts all sorts of events, but there are many multi-purpose facilities around the league that manage that issue a lot better.

I also think it's too small a sample size for the owner to call out the team without being more encouraging, but whatevs.

I got to see a couple of SHU games there for the Big East tournament in 1991. It was great being in NYC and not having to be hated by any other fans.

The modernization is 2/3 complete. really nice. I got to sample one of the new suites watching Cornell vs. Michigan on Thanksgiving weekend. The Hockey was great and the place was packed. Nobody boos at college hockey games.....unique!

Ugh, I hate this decision.

If McGinn was a kid that could be pushed around a little bit, I'd agree. But, he looks like he can handle physical play just fine.

Rinaldo is going to end up taking at least one call against him tonight strictly on reputation.

It's nice for family movie nights and when I'm on the go. Both other options have emerged in that regard.

I am sure the train station being underneath also hurts the condition of the ice

Think that has anything to do with the layout of the building? Isn't the ice on the 4th floor or something like that?

I only been there once for the bernard hopkins vs Felix Trinidad fight. I never seen anything like that before. Never thought the rink was in a sky scraper.

I'd prefer sitting Sestito, but if Rinaldo can go, I want him dressed.

I could live with that, but I don't think we need both Sestito and Rinaldo in the lineup.

I'd love to be wrong about this.

Maybe Lavi is thinking back to the havoc the 4th line did in the first meeting.
