Ya, the Sedins seem to have lost a step.....this is scary..... - chompsey
It's 5 games in, they don't look any slower to me. It's not like they were ever considered "fast" either. |

Landeskog is out for tonight's matchup with both lower body and upper body injuries. The Av's have been outscored 8-1 in their last two games, funnily enough to two teams that also beat the Canucks (Sharks and Oilers).
I'm predicting the PP explodes tonight for 4 goals, 5-0 final. D. Sedin with 3, Garrison nets his first, Hansen mops up with the last one in the third at even strength. |

I don't mind Lu starting tonight. Everyone here knows what Cory's capable of. We might as well go with the hot hand for one- and two- it'll hopefully showcase Luongo, while other teams are struggling in goal. This is coming from a guy who just traded Rinne for Schneider in a keeper league |

You lucky bastard!
I'm hoping to go to next game that the Oilers are in town, wouldn't mind a Hawks game either but I'd rather spend my money once Kesler and Booth are back. |

This seems like a trap game, I think we'll squeeze it out but it's probably going to be another one goal game. Landeskog being out is huge. |

Colorado has given up 7 pp goals in their past two games, this game should be low hanging fruit. |

They were dominant in the first few games, even when they weren't putting up points—the possession and puck movement was phenomenal.
Not a surprise that it's been against SJ, and LA—two bigger and more physical teams—that they've been less effective.

All very true so this team needs some balls and toughness along with some offense. Kassian playing through the season may help and he looks great so far. I still think this team needs another tough, offensive scorer which more than likely you would need to trade Cory to get one. I just remember a lot of soft, crazy goals from Lu as well in the playoffs like the ones he was letting up from shot behind the net bouncing off him. He can be great or he can be terrible but maybe he can learn from all this and have that who cares attitude he seems to be displaying now that he was supposedly relegated to back up. Like I said I don't care who goes, but someone needs to and it should be who brings back the better players for the team. - CanUSA17
Lu was the king of soft crazy goals in the cup drive. He let in 11 goals from behind the redline in the playoff run |

He, besides Giroux might be the most Flyers valuable asset. No reasonable source has ever mentioned his name in trade rumours. - Nucker101
I know you are going to laugh at the 1040 again but I did hear Sekeres say that his name was one of the ones being tossed about. I consider MSM to be a reasonable source . |

Flyers fan would go crazy if he was traded, especially since a lot of them(like some Canucks fans) aren't too hopeful for their chances this year despite a talented roster. |

It's games like this that scare me about the Canucks. Everytime we play teams that we should mop the floor with, we always seem to struggle.
I could see this being the case even more so tonight, with everyone looking forward to Friday's match up (bloodbath) against the Hawks. |

So if Lu does not come out for the start of the second period ,do we assume he has been traded or he needed another crap. |

I'm among the more pessimistic fans around, been watching them lose for almost 40 years, but I see them taking care of business tonight. They are something like 14-0-2 against the Avs in recent games, 6-0 last year and outscored them badly. I like this Avs team, but without Landeskog and Downie they are just as short handed as the Canucks. Luongo > Varlamov, our PP that went 0-10 the past two games is due and their PK gave up 4 against the Oilers and 3 against the Sharks. Basically what I'm saying is bet the over! |

I'm with you, Vintage. Been watching this team since their second season. That being said, the law of averages say that the Avs are due to win one soon. I guess we'll know by 9:30 or so.

Do you prefer your Pinot Noir to be a bit robust and gruff like Prock or delicate and demure like Iggysbff? |

I agree... except for... Fire the whole coaching staff... not just AV. Id rather bowness be gone before AV.
Luongo has to be dealt for the right price.. if its just crap... id rather keep him. A shortened season can almost guarantee injuries.. and this team is better with those two.. then with CS and say... adding a bozak to the team. |

Why not, sounds like we're missing the playoffs, even though they've only been together for 15 days. |
