I'm glad MG doesn't panic like some of you guys.

That's exactly the point, if those are the types of deal that MG is being offered then why would he take it at this point? Our team isn't strong enough to win games with a backup/mediocre goalie right now so that's like 5-10 points down the drain. I don't think role players like Bozak and Franson are going to make up for those 5-10 points, they aren't impact players. I couldn't care less about having one of the goalies sitting in the bench because Gillis obviously isn't being offered anything that will improve our team.

What you're saying is that we should make a trade just to make one even if it doesn't improve our team. The media will always sensationalize things in markets like Vancouver. The media isn't in the ice stopping us from winning games.

I fully expect CS to be traded now within the next few days. AV has just castrated the poor bastard.

AV figured he deflated Luongos manhood now he can deflate Schneiders also

Gillis has a deal on the table for Schnieder. Luongo is starting so Cory doesn't get hurt until the deal is finalized.

I called it before: The split would be closer to 50-50 than most thought and that Luongo would most likely be here until the TDL/Draft.

Why does everyone think that as soon as you say something against a management decision ,it is panic ,or your not a fan.

How can having one of your two best players riding the bench every night be a good thing?

Goalies play 60 games a year. IN a 48 game season a #1 can play 40 games and give 8 games to the back up. THis is what most normal teams are doing.

Gillis has created a gong show and he will be ridiculed about it until things change or they win the cup.

THis is not a hockey buzz Canucks blog story only. Every hockey market is talking . Every sports show you turn on has reference to it. It is time some fans took their head out of the sand and said "YES , this is an issue "

If Lu plays great again tonight and CS35 gets lit up by the Hawks on friday, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of the gongshow that follows.

Is it possible Luongo just ran Cory Schneider over in a zamboni?

I'm lazy today and leaving soon so:

- It's only 5 games in!

- We barely had any of our core guys playing during the lockout so things will improve.

- Kassian's emergence is huge if he can keep it up, allows Burrows to move down which is great for secondary scoring once Kesler and Booth are back.

- Look at the Blues last year with Halak/Elliot, they were just fine, in fact they thrived.

- Once again the media can blow it up all they want, it shouldn't effect the way our forwards and d-men play, if anything Lu looks better with this mindset.

- Having 2 good goalies will be huge with such a packed schedule, teams without a decent backup are screwed IMO, they either have to over work their starter or lose games resting him

- Finally: Let's just agree to disagree.

I don't think so. It's just about rewarding a guy who had a good game with another one. At the end of the season, Schmeider will have played more games than Lu, and he will be the guy in the playoffs. It's not a big deal right now.

Cory hasn't been good enough so far.

It's the right message to send—doesn't mean he's not the #1 going forward, just that Lou is playing better, and Cory needs to improve.

Hopefully he uses it as motivation.

If I was Schneider I would be in Gillis's office right now asking for a trade or I will let in every shot in games that you play me.

I don't care who starts, players or goaltenders, just play well and start winning with some authority!
