you will not get value........ Rick Nash... Kovalchuck are prime expamples.
- faceto27

The Jackets/Thrashers GM's where morons..Doesn't mean Nonis has to be one..

oh and dont forget Rick Nash had a NTC that limited the jackets to deal with one team..The Rangers..

U see why some fans are concerned about having to try to deal Kessel after the NTC kicks in??(if he wont sign)

Edit...Why the FK was Kessel given a NMC??

"If" they can't get Kessel signed they really should take the opportunity to target a centre. I wonder (hope) if the Avs would have an interest in Kessel. They're deep at centre.
- The Law

Another potential landing spot would be Philly or St. Louis. Both teams could use him as both teams are targeting the holy grail this year.

St. Louis has plenty of Cap room to make it work. With Philly, we would be targeting Courtier, but in order to pry Courtier, if possible, we would also have to take back a player with at least a 5 million cap hit.

Nash had a firm NTC ...there was no market.
Kovalchuk ....at the time it looked good but that's the problem with prospects and picks ....they too often suck balls.

They need to make a hockey trade if they ever get to the point of moving him. Player for player.

The only possible way that deal is even considered is if Perry agrees to a contract extension with the Leafs prior to the trade. Which may or may not be legal.

Is a NMC even that relevant anymore? ...unless your name is Connolly. That limited NTC is what is important ..it'd be nice to know those details.

Probably similar to Komi's. Provide a list of 10 teams you won't accept a trade to.

Just my guess, since Burke did both contracts.

When a Patrice Cormier is the "top" prospect you get out of the deal you aren't looking good ever.

It's actually a NMC that includes the limited NTC.....No one can seem to find out what exactly the restrictions are on it...List of teams??No list if they miss the playoffs?...For all we know it could be a full NTC if they fail to make the playoffs..

Makes sense ....Grabo's is a 10 team list as well. Which means their will be enough teams interested in Kessel to drive a market .....so we can all relax and wait until the summer.

My guess is Kessel will want an 8 year deal and will want to see the Leafs make some moves in the summer before he signs. If I'm Nonis that works fine ....see what you can do in the summer with Kessel part of the plan ...and if nothing works out then maybe moving Kessel for a young centre or some young pieces makes sense.

Agree. Wait till the summer. See how the rest of the season goes. If you can't sign Kessel at a reasonable number, then you move him, and hit the reset button.

Explain the relation to me having had surgery on my ankle and having little to no mobility the same as my social life? I wasnt given a choice between TV, Books and my PC or getting out of the house.

Im sorry I hurt your feelings sport, but you have to stop taking hockey forums so personally. Feel free to take your issues out on me, but do it in PMs.

true ...but Oduya was considered a good young dman ...and they got Bergfors and a first round pick ( I think traded for Byfuglien).

It was a bag of poop in hindsight (except for Buff).

I just assumed he was starting....That said maybe they should start Scrivens so to protect Reimer from a all but certain loss......
