seto for lovejoy and tk
duno what kuliman would go for.... 4th rd pick or burtuzzo
i wonder what Rs can get iggy for without giving up a D prospect.. - nh4442
Would you make the first two deals if you were Minny or Toronto?
And for your third question, not going to happen without a top prospect. |

I subscribe to Tiops.....
Seto and Glencross are the two.....with Glencross the more preferable. Says Bylsma is a big fan of Seto. Also said Minny would need to add more to the deal. Finally said no serious talks are taking place.
Kuliman is a third player supposedly on their radar though the Pens are concerned with his consistency.
Take it for what it's worth. The guy seems to have some pretty good sources however. - madmike71
Of course he is. What's not to like about overpriced middling talent? |

Another top notch power play for a Dan Bylsma team. Its pathetic it really is. Neal at the point, yeah thats a good move. Top PP man in the leage is taking slappers from the point on our PP wow that sounds weird. - nbartley9
5/19 is terrible. Nobody has ever won with a PP% just over 25. |

You just don't get it.
If he played with Crosby he would better Kurri's numbers. |

You have alot of teams searching for blueliners right now. Philly, Islanders, Detroit, LA, Calgary, maybe Florida ... You need to play him a few games and hope he plays solid in order to fetch a decent return. Sure, he won't bring a first or second or third round return. However, a fourth isn't out of the question based on recent activities. JMO - Oneonta Penguin
Didn't letestu get us a 4th round pick? If Letestu got us a 4th, then Lovejoy can get us a 4th as well. I really like how lovejoy has been playing though these past couple games. To be honest, I'd like to see him get some time on the 2nd PP unit at the point with Martin now that Niskanen is bashed up. Id also really like to see Despres get some time with Letang |

Not sure what Oates is thinking. Boudreau and Hunter got their walking paper from the Caps because OV wasn't happy. Why would Oates think he'd be any different?

They will never win if they left Ovi continue to run the show. At some point he has to become coachable and buy into the team idea.
Brett Hull did eventually and won a cup because of it, too bad it was late in his career and his best coach killing years were behind him. |

Sorry, this power play will not work. Neal needs to shoot, thats just the way it is. 2 of those 5 are from our 2nd unit. Geno needs to go to the point. |

I'm curious to see who gets dressed if Niskanen is out tomorrow night... At some point they have to dress Bortuzzo, right? |

I think Ryan Clowe would be a nice fit on this team, to be honest the guy that has looked the best on the Geno-Nealer line has been Tanner Glass. |

It's possible Despres is in the trade block because out of all of our good D prospects, the Pens scouts feel maybe he isn't the best. We only have room for maybe 2-3 of our prospects to actually make the lineup in 2-3 years and maybe the scouts feel Despres isn't better than Some others |

Seto would be Duper on crack, 100 goals easy. 200 with a regular schedule. |

Not sure how good TIOPS sources are. He just seems to be pretty smart in identifying players that the Pens would likely target. Much better than this crock whose site we post on. |

Why is there any discussion about trading a potential top prospect for middling talent that has achieved less than the year before for the past several seasons? |

It's five games into a season that had a short training camp and will have fewer practices because of the condensed schedule. It's easy to figure out why the team has looked out of sorts.
I'm more on the boat of being patient and waiting to see if it fixes itself. That is unless the Pens are trading for Jordan Eberle. |

Thanks for the info.
I'm a big fan of Seto, w/ him (i) being 26yrs old, (ii) having had sucess playing w/ a high-skill C in SJ (ie, Thorton), and (iii) being signed next year at $3M/yr. He could be solid, complimentary part of the Pens roster for 4-5 yrs, as he isn't a stand alone talent who would price himself out of the Pens roster after 1yr of sucess.
Glencross, not as much love. He's 30yrs old now w/ two more years at $2.5M/yr. Not a bad player, but I certainly wouldn't give up one of the Pens young Dmen in a package to get him regardless of what Calgary added back. I just don't see him contributing at a high leve for the Pens for 4-5yrs the way Despres would.
Kulemin would be an interesting target, though not sure he'd be available. The guy has top-end talent & could be deadly as a sniper with Crosby, but at only 26yrs old would Toronto want to part with him? As far as his work ethic & consistency goes, I think Geno could help him out with that, assuming they had a good relationship when they played together in Magnitigorsk during the lockout. In any case, it'd all depend on the price Toronto would ask for the guy. |

It falls in line with blaming the coach and his system because an 8+million dollar player can't make a tape to tape pass. Just another day at the Buzz. |

Lots of forward acquisition talk. However, it's a solid blueline that helps us when it comes down to it come playoff time. |
