I hope he gets traded soon. I want some transactions to speculate about and discuss. Normally by late January the rumors are flying and trades are being worked on, etc. So far we are basically in the October/November stage where teams are content seeing what they have beforem making moves.

Its boring. The only rumors are circling around O'Reilly, Subban, Loungo, and a blurb about Nino Niederrieter (sp). And even that hasn't led to much speculation aside from the endless Luongo to Toronto banter. When is the trade deadline this season?

Would Zajac still be in the talks even after his big payday? Also, no defensemen yet? Seems like that is the most talked about need for most teams.

unless PK is simply orchestrating his way out of Montreal, he's a moron. he's literally 6-7 months away from a monster contract. if he'd accept the 2-year deal now, Bergevin would likely extend him in the summer as long as his play progresses. so he'd play out the second year next season before the extension kicks in in 2014-2015. it's exact;y what the Habs did with Pacioretty. not playing hockey is not helping him at all.

being from the centre of the hockey universe PK wants a contract to match his birthplace, in spite of helping to lead his team into 28th place

Alex Pietrangelo is my favorite non-Philly athlete ever in sports (showing my lack of age...no shame). He's the only player whose name and number are on the back of a shirt that I wear that isn't a Flyers shirt or a Phillies shirt.

The Blues are my "second" team, as well. Man what I'd give to have a player like Pietrangelo on the Flyers
