unless PK is simply orchestrating his way out of Montreal, he's a moron. he's literally 6-7 months away from a monster contract. if he'd accept the 2-year deal now, Bergevin would likely extend him in the summer as long as his play progresses. so he'd play out the second year next season before the extension kicks in in 2014-2015. it's exact;y what the Habs did with Pacioretty. not playing hockey is not helping him at all.

Subban and his agent have an argument though. If subban is considered your top D man on your depth chart , well second best "Markov" makes 5.75 million. You have to pay your best the best.

Subban is sizing himself up for Eberle, Hall, Seguin, all players who scored huge extensions, they each make around 6 a season. I feel Subban can have that sort of impact for the Habs that each of those players bring to their clubs.

I agree that he should just take the bridge deal but that is still going to be something in the range of 4 - 4.5 a season.

Koivu. Koivu has proven to be more durable, gets more points and over full seasons of play has similar PIMs. His points were without a guy named Parise and an improved d-corps (Gilbert and Suter).
