So are we going to move any of these extra blue liners or what? How many games of not being able to score are we going to have to sit through before Darcy does anything? Sending an offensively talented center back to juniors when this team's second line cannot score is the epitome of stupid IMO

I think Grigs will be an elite player in the NHL and so many teams will feel like idiots for making him slip so far in the draft.

I didn't see any games? Is he playing a lot of minutes?

- HabsRUs

The most ice time he got was against the Caps and I definitely think he should get that kind of time every game if he stays (hoping). But he only had 2 shifts in the final two periods in our second game against Carolina which was ridiculous. Not to mention he was playing with Kaleta and Scott, such a waste.

He's been getting scoring chances for himself and generating them for his linemates. He's been playing a low profile, solid, defensive minded game which is definitely Lindy's doing. But he's doing it well. Unlike Hodgson who, defensively, has been god awful. Grigo also isn't being given the opportunity to play with our better players. He was caught out on a bad change once that left him with Marcus Foligno and Drew Stafford during one of the Carolina games and he generated the best scoring chance of the night (there weren't many) in that brief period of time.

He's been poor against the walls for sure and any trace of physical play is non-existent in his game. I think he should get a game to play with Foligno and Stafford the whole time. Foligno can be the bull and absorb the physical game like he was last game against the Caps, his best game by far and he was with 25. Grigo can feed Stafford who's capable of burying it. I like Ennis a lot but that line isn't working out at all right now. Even Ennis scoring last game was Ott-Ennis-Stafford.

If he stays and at twenty games he has very little points I'll say that I was wrong to think he should've stayed in the league. But he's gotten better every game its only a matter of time before he starts putting points up. He also should be getting chances on the power play and to play with better players.

I don't think their goaltending can hold up all season... I do think they look good.. but I just don't have faith in their wall back there.

darcy is working on a sekera for getzlaf straight up trade.. He may have to include a 50% off coupon for wings to finalize it though.. he is trying to get it for 40% off

Agree. I think goaltending may once again be their achilles heel but so far that team looks very very good!

It is Lindy-esque to make sure he has room to play Ellis. Joke of a coach IMO, nobody is playing to their potential

No way.. Ruff is done...

What was it last year... Patrick coached for 3 games after Ruff hurt his hip.. and we beat Boston 6-0.. lost to NYR in a 2-1 shootout and then beat Pitt or Philly???

I hate this regime.

Another Lindy gem, not good enough to play more than 6 minutes agianst Carolina, but good enough to get bumped up to the 1st line on Sunday..... His strategies are mind boggling

Ellis is what he is, a 4th line grinder. He is the least of our problems, he is the lowest paid player on this team.

The real trouble starts and ends with Tyler Myers. We are paying 5 million a year for that giraffe to play AHL hockey. He needs to step up and play solid d and create offense.

If i see one more pass across the ice trying to go through 3 of the opponents, I am going to...

I loved how the NHLN snuck in the comment... "Gerbe was an absolute killer in college hockey at Boston College... he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award... but in Buffalo, he is still looking for his niche"

I am going to put my neck out there on this one... but I watched almost the entire game on Sunday.. and I was trying to watch Myers closely to see why everyone gives him so much crap and....

he didn't stand out like a superstar on the ice.. but I don't see why he gets as much heat as he does. He does look slow on the ice and not as agile as before.. it makes me wonder about his ankle injury that was 2.5 weeks ago where he couldn't even skate off the ice under his own power... Salary = Magnifying glass.

Is there an assumption if he practices today he will be staying? Looks like Remparts next game isn't until Feb. 1st but you would think they would send him back ASAP to join them for practice.

here is the main question, do you want to burn a year off of his contract for a lockout shortened season when you have other kids who can take his role this year? wouldn't it be good for him to go back to juniors and dominate there and come into camp next year going for a job?
