You sound like one of the more intelligent ones on here. How did you become a Canuck fan???? - Dean_Youngblood
Well on our fantasy pool ,with a bunch of the guys here ,I am in 10 th spot in a 10 team league , so I will take that intelligent comment with a grain of salt
Anyone can come here and talk about how good or bad the Canucks are . Just make sure you come after the wins and loses. |

Garrison played in a system that enhanced his points, being on the powerplay and having a caddie tee up his shots for him. Bryan Campbell and his skating helped to make Garrison look like a stud defenceman. Of course, he cashed in on the first sucker that would offer him a large contract with lots of term. Same sucker that signed Luongo to a lifetime contract, and he went downhill after that. It amazes me, how some players, will play like it's the Stanley Cup finals, all year, during their contract year, but once they get their long term deal, they relax. It's up to a good GM to recognize the contenders and the pretenders. Gillis hasn't got a clue! - PrinceLH
I'll pick your ignorance and use it to respond to all the other ignorance in here. Garrison is not using his shot because he's not getting much chance to do so. Edler rarely passes the puck to him: all he does is shoot or flip it down to the corner. The Sedins don't even seem to be aware of where he is on the ice to get him the pass he's ready for. He's been sound defensively -- Edler has been the weakness there. As well, his contract is 4.6 not "5+ as noted by another ignorant one (or was that you as well?). Garrison has been just fine and it will get better as time goes on -- assuming the Sedins wake up and Edler smartens up. |

Ian, I'm glad you're not the coach if you'd bench a player like Hansen for a whole game for something he didn't even get a penalty for. - Couv19
...or thinks Garrison is choosing not to use his shot when he's really not yet getting much opportunity to. |

Oilers suck anyways cap goes down that have 12 million between hall and ebs never mind adding nuge, yak and Schultz who will get close to the same so that close to 30 million plus a starting goalie and fill out the roster they are (frank)ed - Yeti1181
Show me a contending team that doesnt have 12 million tied up in 2 players |

Serious question: 2 posts and it comes up -- are you really that stupid? Jealousy? Grow up...it's a game that makes millionaires out of kids who can skate. Alternatively, you could just go away -- not that you have to. We all enjoy your display of.... |

I stopped going to Fantasyland to hear Kessel for Richards Nash and Gaborik, or how Getzlaf and Perry are all but signed to the Leafs roster next year. Gets boring and tedious. If they lose big deal . I went yesterday after someone said it was a joke in there and I glanced over, and it was.
I kave no reason to go over and gloat in their misery, so why bother. |

Pretty much expected a loss againt SJ, our second line is kinda broken. PRince toronto fan is in the delusion that all the major free agents are comming to TO next year. He is going by Nonis track record in signings. |

San Jose is good. - nucks_94
The 5-0 win just reminds me of the stretch drive last season, a lot of wins coming from outstanding goaltending and timely power play goals while being horribly out played 5 on 5. Thankfully it is the first week of the season, not the last. I didn't watch last night but I'm guessing from the comments we got owned. |

Yeah, I'm not going to get too worked up about games until we actually have our full second line. As long as we stay competitive in the west until then, we won't have much to worry about. |

I'm starting to realize that wiping out the season wouldn't have been such a bad thing, just so that I wouldn't have to read the bipolar* reactions of fans from 30 teams.
Leafs have four points, but they suck. Canucks have five points, and they either suck, or are the best team in the league. If you really want to ride a steep rollercoaster, go check out the Flyers blog.
I know it's been a while since we had hockey, but people need to be reminded that no team can go the entire season (even a 48-gamer) and win every game.
It's the passion that unites us all.

This team, Canucks, has a first line, two third lines and a fourth line, keep our expectations low until we get Kesler back. Good teams have depth at center, right now we most certainly do not and it's showing. We're five games into the season, I know it's a short one, but this is definitely a playoff caliber team.
As I said, the importance of a guy like Kesler shutting down a Thornton and Marleau will be so important down the road. I hope he comes back when 100% healthy! |
