Canucks just have to keep their heads above water until Booth and Kesler come back. So Weise and Volpatti can leave.

I still think Minny wins the division.. Canucks fall to that 5th/6th spot. I have no problem with them keeping Lu.. but I would like this team to trade for some really aggressive hitting 4th liner. Someone with some better speed.. and possibly a clutch playoff guy like Brier.

The team will be fine though.. shouldn't really worry... fire AV and Bowness and this team will win the cup.

Mackenzie said to take the first 2-4 weeks and throw them out the window. As far as i'm concerned, as long as the club can tread water for that long I'm fine with it. Anything else is a bonus.

I do think in today's NHL you have to be slightly above .500 in order to tread water however...

The sedins? Daniel has more points than anyone on LA... and Hank isn't far behind. I want a little more out of them 5 on 5.. but these are guys who wern't playing any meaningful hockey until the season started. I give them about 8-10 games to get their legs going.

Yeah they were shutdown nicely by the Kings. I have the Blues winning the West this year, but the Kings are still going to be a really tough team to beat in a 7 game series.

Those are my surprise picks... I just feel a combination of stanley cup hangover and Quick not being able to compare to last year will be the ultimate demise.
