???? Driver and MacLean both left NJ and played for the Rangers. Here, let me help you junior.

Driver finished his career with the Rangers. MacLean had a couple of good years with the Rangers. Do you understand now?

He is a versatile guy. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Arnott center Callahan and Pyatt, and put Stepan between Kreider and Hagelin. But, I imagine the next couple of weeks is going to be a big chemistry experiment for Torts, and he'll try a million different things.

And one more point, I think we need to be a little careful with Ferriero. It's only one game, and there is a reason that we landed him for Chad Kolarik. They were 5 game spans where I thought Adam Voros looked like a poor man's Adam Graves.

Its a good point. I think the biggest thing to take from tonight is that Ferriero is better than Rupp, Asham etal. so with him and Arnott, our depth is way better off.

You get Kreider back and our bottom six becomes Boyle, Kreider, Ferreiro, Arnott, Hagelin, Halpern... get rid of Asham and Rupp and the team just is more complete.

Agree on Ferriero but there is a reason they acquired him and played him tonight. Also, his game is speed and energy and that isn't hard to bring every night.

You know, Glen, they have a hell of alot more options than they did two days ago, and that makes me feel much more comfortable.

I actually thought Asham was o.k. when he played. He actually made a pretty nice move with the puck on that play, and then inexplicably failed to finish it. But, playing Rupp and Asham is just cumulative. One is enough.

Just going through the game in my head, and maybe I just missed it, but did the third defensive pairing play at all tonight? I can't remember them being on the ice much.

You basically said Arnott will be a failure as a Ranger because he's a former Devil. Your basis for that is the fact other former Devils have not won cups with Rangers. Your logic is flawed. All I am saying is he could be a nice fit with us for a year. You also brought up two of the worst free agent contracts the Rangers ever signed. Doesn't apply when comparing to a 1 year, $1.6 million contract.

Second, there is like over there. Their is possessive as in their stats. They're is a contraction of They and Are and can be used to say, They're Stanley Cup winners with (and it should be whom). But that's bad grammar too.

Not Eminger that I recall. Stralman got some time but maybe that was PP time too.

Thats all you have? The rangers have to bring in an old Devil to help your team. come one bro you have to hate that. Cant they do anything that is not a Lou leftover? whats next, rangers gonna sign Sykora again?

Loyalty is a wonderful but it goes both ways and there really is no loyalty in sports anymore. If Arnott ends up being the final piece to get the Rangers a cup, I couldn't give one good goddamn that he played with the Devils at one point.

Eminger 4:12. Stralman 13:48. Rupp didn't play much after his fight in first. 2:08. Halpern only 4:16. Halpern should get more ice. He's a solid player.

I have already presented far, far more than you so just stop. Your arguments are old and no one cares any more. I'm sorry if you represented yourself poorly when it comes to hockey knowledge and the use of the English language. That is not my problem and you have been completely neutered here.

Glen, screw this guy, he's getting just what he wants out of all this, if we just ignored his ass he would be gone already. Arnott played a smidge of his career with the Devils, drafted by Sather & the Oilers & how many other teams has he played with than the Devils? This is all silly.

How bout a Nice win & great effort tonight?

Sorry but you are really the typical ranger fan. I hate to have to bring up another fact. Do you really honestly remember this quote from a great man "Henrique It's Over" The rangers have to be used to this by now

Hey dudes, haven't been able to post in game bc I have obligations at home so I DVR the game...(not that anyone gives a hooey), but, the Kreider injury, hard to believe they didnt catch this earlier, but hopefully the kid gets it right and can progress in his development whether its in NY or in CT. Arnott, well, Torts was basically begging for depth in his post game comments and it came by way of Arnott, they have nothing to lose, it makes them deeper and we will see. The effort overall was satisfying bc they finally played a complete 60. I was getting frustrated down 2-0 bc they were playing well but as Torts said they stuck with it and really reminded me of last season. Did we all know Nash was this strong? I liked how the D jumped in and contributed. The PP although didn't score I thought looked better, so maybe a sign of things to come. I know I'm not saying anything that hasnt been said here but just wanted to express my satisfaction and now they just need to build going forward, doesn't get any easier next week, with Phil, Pitt and TB....LGR!!!

That is what I saw tonight. Best game of the year so far. Ferriero brought some energy and the top line was great. D chipped in too.

The best part for me was with the addition of Ferreiro at least for one night we actually saw 9 guys contributing up front, the next best was the D, jumping in, etc. I thought the PP looked better with those guys on the point, usually before a PP starts producing you need to see the signs, its just a matter of contniuing to bang away at it...this is the first time they looked like they weren't playing in a pre-season game....

Nobody here ever discredited the Devils last year...go back and read the posts...I don't even know what you're basing this on...

Time to give my usual flawless opinon on everything involving the Rangers today.
Benn Ferreiro: Don't know why he's got two n's in his name but the guy can play. He'll make a nice depth guy this year.
The game: Much like that Mykayla chick from the Olympics, I'm not impressed. They still can' win faceoff, their effort is still inconsistent and their defensemen still make boneheaded plays in their own zone. It's a start though, hopefullly they can build on it.
Jason Arnott: Meh. As long as he can win faceoffs I'm happy because Jeff Halpern (frank)in' sucks. Actually, that entire 4th line sucks. Asham and Rupp and can't fight and Halpern can't take faceoffs. Just bad.
