The Rangers completely dominated, should have been 10-2 in reality.

Del Zotto is one of the few Rangers who actually has played well in all the games, and tonight was his best, he is starting to blossom.

Good stuff.

I was so frustrated we couldn't score tonight, blood was boiling.

Thank goodness we finally broke through in the 3rd, what a perfect period.

Agree. Staal was good too and the D in general was active offensively. Gabby and Nash are very dangerous.

And Holik. Move on. Difference is this guy is on a one year deal. Remember Bruce Driver? Remember John MacLean? Both played well for us after leaving Jersey. Stop going back to the tired old bag of tricks, the tired old jokes. We get it; you're not funny nor are you original. And you make little real hockey points.

I remember 95 Holik was a Devil ,Driver was a Devil and MacLean was a Devil ! What are you saying? No Tricks, No Jokes Just Facts!

I was watching the first period in a sushi place while we are down 2-0, some guy comes over and says "yo change the channel to the Knicks game, Rangers suck"

So I said "you suck"

He says "No but really they suck they shouldnt have got rid of Prust"

So I say "Listen buddy I appreciate that you jumped on the bandwagon during the playoffs last year but let the real fans talk about the team and keep your mouth shut before you make a bigger fool of yourself"

He walked away.

Turning point of the game.

Staal appears to be fully clear and throwing the body more than he has in the past, I always thought he'd be a great hitter from his days in Sudbury

Driver finished his career with the Rangers. MacLean had a couple of good years with the Rangers. Do you understand now?

Much. More. Like. It. Should. Be.

Thought many of the Rangers had their best game of the season tonight. The Boyle-Stepan-Pyatt shift late in the third was a perfect example of how the team played last year and should be this. Same for the shift with Nash's play on the Gabby tip. Physical play, cycling or battling for the puck down low and creating opportunities. Much more like it should be.

From a personal perspective, the game felt like a playoff game to me in the third, because I really didn't want this team to drop to 1-4. The team was really good tonight, and some guys that haven't been great played real well.

Love the Arnott signing to, and agree with Melrose's point tonight about how the signing of Arnott could provide some competition for the second line center role if Stepan continues to struggle. I think that is good because it may light a fire under Stepan. At worst it provides Torts options.

I think Ferriero could help the team like the call up of Hagelin and Mitchell did last year. He brought speed and energy to the lineup tonight. It's a little thing but it could prove big later.

I noticed Boyle played better and wonder how much had to do with Arnott signing.

Who was playing center on the Hagelin-Ferriero-Callahan line, Ferriero or Hagelin? I didn't catch it, and only ask because Hagelin played a good deal of center in college.

Wonder if some of these guys were unsettled with roster turnover and also letting up with the more talented roster. Maybe urgency wasn't there in their heads.

I thought it was Ferriero but I might be wrong. The lines were changing enough it was hard to follow at times.

Who knows? I would really like them to win this Flyers game, and get to 3-3. If they can battle through these early season duldrums and a tough schedule, and get to calmer waters with a decent record, that would be really nice.

Do you guys think we will stick with:

Gabby-Richards-Nash
Callahan-Stepan-Pyatt
Ferriero-Boyle-Hagelin

Where does Arnott slot in?

He is a versatile guy. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Arnott center Callahan and Pyatt, and put Stepan between Kreider and Hagelin. But, I imagine the next couple of weeks is going to be a big chemistry experiment for Torts, and he'll try a million different things.

And one more point, I think we need to be a little careful with Ferriero. It's only one game, and there is a reason that we landed him for Chad Kolarik. They were 5 game spans where I thought Adam Voros looked like a poor man's Adam Graves.

Edit: But on second thought, Arnott and Pyatt are probably too darn slow to play them on one line. You can time those guys with calendars.

Agree on Ferriero but there is a reason they acquired him and played him tonight. Also, his game is speed and energy and that isn't hard to bring every night.
