Ian Esplen: What a Team!
What a Team! - IanEsplen
The Canucks played a great game. They are becoming one of the toughest teams in the league with the addition of Kassian and the emergence of Weise and Volpatti. They are missing their second line and still blow out the Ducks. Pretty impressive. |

Yeah, Kassian is making me feel better about losing Cody.
Kassian is a Bertuzzi in the making. |

Thanks for that tidbit Gordo.
I find it amusing the man crush you have on me. You don't post all day to anyone except me . I am honoured and creeped out at the same time. Do I need to get a restraining order? - VANTEL

Volpatti, for the first time, made me think that he has a future for the Cancuks that is beyond filling in for injured players. |

Loved Belangers comments .Next time I am not chasing him all over the ice. I did not have a problem witht the celebration. He will learn. Remember when OV did the hot stick and was calling for his teammates to join him ,they looked at him as "Yeah Right Buddy" |

Seriously wish we had Rick Rypien on that third/fourth line too.

Do not really think the "toughest team" yet. Hard to make that suggestion when there are no east - west games. I think Edmonton has a good balance and we have yet to play Nashville or St Louis. |

Belanger is just mad because he can't remember what it feels like to score a goal and even on his knees Nail is faster than his dusty old ass.
OV was always fairly arrogant though. Call me a homer if you like but it really seemed like Yak just let his enthusiasm get away from him. |

Hell yes! Could you imagine? A forty something man sliding down the ice on his knees flipping off the opposition as he passes them? That'd be glorious! |

He is a kid .The bldg was jumping ,it was a great comeback, let the kid have his moment in the spotlight. If he did that every goal I am sure teammates would settle him. |

Hey... 100% honest moment here....
If Yak were on my team and he did that... it would have been great. On every highlight package for the year and would have made me proud. 29 other teams would say otherwise.
Maybe you need a little more clout in the league prior to doing it. I dont; know. When Tiger Williams rode his stick, it was an iconic moment. But he had clout to spare. |
