Klune is a joke. There are also a lot of guys that seemed to be just going through the motions out there and when your not a superstar you just can't get away with doing that because it stands out a lot more. I'm also not sure why he broke up the defensive pairings. Hannan seemed lost playing with the kid |

Watching Stars @ Wings, man I miss Tootoo. He is like the Tootoo of old, two fights already tonight, energizing the crowd and his teammates. He seems so rejuvenated. Now we are stuck with, what's the new guys name.."Clown"? |

We definitely miss Tootoo's energy. Our team is just boring right now. As predsthinala said, it seems like a lot of guys are just going through the motions. One thing that really bothers me is the frantic nature of the Preds' passes.
It seems like they just throw the puck somewhere and hope someone with the same uniform on gets to it, but they don't have any real idea where their teammates actually are on the ice. It's gone beyond the usual bad passing that we're used to, and turned into full blown chaos. No wonder there's no sustained offense.
This start is a bit puzzling. The Preds were supposed to have an advantage due to the small amount of roster turnover. Obviously there's no advantage for the Preds. They need to figure out their offense and fast. |

Your right something is really missing. It's almost like they just don't have the heart anymore. Did you notice how slow the Preds looked against the Ducks and Yotes?
Time for Ducks @ Sharks! Being originally from CA and a former Kings fan, I want to watch those two destroy each other.....LOL |

I noticed how slow they looked at home too. The line changes were very Arnott-esque.
You're from CA too? I grew up in LA County, and was a HUGE Kings fan. Moved to The OC in 79 and was an original Ducks season ticket holder before moving to Nashville. I was so happy to see the Ducks and Kings win the cup, especially the Kings, but after our playoff series against the Ducks, watching their team, GM, and fans turn into little whiney-babies I sort of lost my taste for the team.
Still love Selanne though.

Wow what a small world. I grew up south of Mammoth Lakes and had to listen to Kings games on KFI AM 640 in the days before DirecTV, talk about the electronic dark ages...
I lived in the OC for 6 years before moving to TN but never did aquire a taste for Duck hockey and only went to the Arrowdread Pond when the Kings came to town or my friends would promise me free tickets and beer if I went with them. In fact the only duck I ever cared for was California Pizza Kitchen's Duck Pizza...LOL
Duck fans are always whiney, I guess I have just learned to ignore it over the years.

EDIT: But I did just read the Stephen Weiss may become available. I'd look into that if I were Poile. - Predaceous
I wonder what it would cost the preds? Weiss might be a good fit. |

I think you may be missing only the good times. Sort of like an old girlfriend. After shes gone we forget all the crap that came along with her. Too many time the coaching staff would hamstring Tootoo - or his drinking would. Or was it pills? Anyway.....Not much to miss now...6gp and 0's across the board. We got plenty of those guys. |

for everyone bagging on Clune, he seems to be the only guy on the ice with any hustle who seems to give a crap right now. at least he is trying to do his thing by standing up for others and creating some energy (not necessarily effective at it but hey!).
the rest of the team looks anemic out there, no heart, no hustle, no chance. but sure, let's keep doing the same thing and hope for a different result... |

Clune is a waste. What really scares me is Clune was supposedly on Poile's "radar" for a while waiting to snatch him up via waivers. Why couldn't Poile put some offensively gifted forwards on that "radar". Yip brings all the energy and grit that Clune does, and lo and behold Yip can score.
It's time for a shakeup. Bring up Watson or Beck from Milwaukee...sit Clune and maybe SK if he doesn't pull his cranium from betwixt his rectum.

A rectal/cranial extraction is definitely due for Sergei. Clune does hustle, but I thought we were past being ok with just hard work and no results. Clune would be great for an expansion team, but not for one with the expectations the Predators have.
His fights are meant to energize the team, but if they're energized by something that's making the fans yawn then I don't know what to say. |

Exactly,
I was trying to explain to a friend last night (who hasn't seen any preds games this year) what Clune was all about. All I could think of is that he can't skate, can't shoot, can't pass, and can't score....but he gets in a lot of fights--ERRRR...hugging contests....but he doesn't seem to win those, either. I don't think he's even landed a punch in 4 contests. And I can't even figure out what ANY of the fights were even about--its not like he was sticking up for or protecting anyone.
I can't really figure out what Clune is doing on the ice instead of one of our prospects.

I figured SK74 wouldn't come back this year. DP needs to bring his line mate or girl friends from Russia to spark something cause Marty & Fish are not doing it. |

I will admit that Rinne does not look the same so far. Not many goalies are going to win when your team has ten goals in six games though.
Our captain needs to step it up for sure though. No points through six games? |

I do not question Shea's effort...however at 7.8 mil....the dude needs to produce. I have no doubt he will get involved more. |

The Yotes & Blues took Weber's space away form him, not much he could do but hope for a deflection or pass. Other teams will do the same if Josi doesn't start scoring. |

Two good defenses granted....but for what this franchise gave up for Weber...he had better learn how to "find some space". |

$7.8M? Boy are you gonna be pissed when you realize he makes almost twice that right now. |
