I typically am not a Read fan but he proved me wrong tonight.

Loved what Luke did all game... and anyone that thinks he is slow didn't watch him play tonight.

Jake still doesn't do it for me.

Bryz has been humongous big so far this season. Keep it up!!!

That's what 5 games so far. I don't see any signs of Luke Schenn being slow. Not a swift skater by any means. But not slow as advertised by many. A lot of fans mistake poor positioning and bad reads on plays for a lack of foot speed.

Saw the value of a player like Matt Read tonight. Very versatile. If you need him to play on a checking line, he can do that. Play on the PP, PK. You need him to play on the top line. He can do that also. Maybe not full time. But he can definitely fill in there and give some scoring.

He may be the 8th or 9th best player on this team. Not sure why such a [young bartender on the tv show cheers] for him.

well, that was fun.

- simmonds has been the best flyer so far
- L schenn was very good, rock solid
- congrats to matt read on the hatty
- bryz solid again
- please send laughton back. he provides very little we need that can't be replaced at this point of his development.

Mostly agree but have Simmonds behind G and Bryz. But well said.

Bryz looks insanely good the first five games.
Damn.

Not too sure about Foster.
But Gervais can stay.

Yea, not real impressed with Foster. No problems with Gervais in the lineup.

Thinking ahead what do the Flyers do if all the DMen are healthy? Just eat the $$$?

Timmo/Coburn
Schenn/Mez
Foster/Gervais
Lilja/Bourdon
Gus(he goes down penalty free)

Lilja would probably make it through Waivers again. Bourdon is on Season Opening IR and is only costing the Flyers $334,392 on the Cap. But if and when he becomes healthy, he will be subject to Waivers. So they could lose him if they try to send him to the Phantoms. But with his Concussion history, maybe he get's through. Foster, if not needed, I personally don't care if they lose him. Gustafsson is already with the Phantoms.

Ok, good. I like Capgeek.com, but it doesn't do a great job of letting you know how much LTIR you have available and what portion of it is used already. I'm sure it gets crazy.

Capgeek does it all. The Flyers have not used LTIR at all to this point of the Season. That's why there is no values for that. Just know that right now, the Flyers have LTIR Cap space available to them for Pronger and Walker. And also for Hartnell and Meszaros if they choose to use it. But remember, the exemption is only temporary, with players that won't be out for the full Season.
