Giroux
Couturier
Schenn
Laughton

Regardless of if Laughton gets sent back, and what happens with Briere, this is nice to see. Our 4 young centres for the forseeable future, I'm hoping to see this at the start of next season.

I think there is a good possibility that Schenn becomes a Winger.

I understand your points. But there is also Ryan Johannsen, Victor Hedman, JVR and Kyle Turris, Brayden Schenn, Bpbby Ryan, Nic Zerdev, and other forwards that were supposed to be franchise-level talent that haven't reached their potential either.

Definitely a possibility. I also think there is a chance he is the centerpiece of a deal for a #1 d-man before the start of next season. It's just nice to see those 4 guys slotted into Bill's projected starting lineup. Looks nice.

I agree. Hard to predict the future. But the Flyers are always wheeling and dealing.

Hedman is a decent top 4 d-man, I'd make a deal for him if the price is right. I'm not sure anyone labelled him franchise-level, and he certainly is not a forward.
- Rocktane

hedman is def considered a future franchise guy and was at the time he was drafted. it may take 4-5 yrs, but i think he may prove to be a better value than tavares

He's still very young with a lot of tools. His point totals are going to be held down, because he doesn't get to play on the top PP a lot.

Brayden Schenn has played 78 NHL games, so I think we need to give him some time.
- MJL

Why it's the Flyers way to trade somebody if they don't produce at an MVP level the moment they step on NHL ice.

Vej, are you going to the game tonight?
Lots of empty seats at the last Panthers game.

I doubt Leighton will play tonight.
But maybe he will play Sunday?

Figure they'll work him in at some point. A back to back makes sense.

I hope you are wrong. Brayden had a tough start to last season and then was an impressive second half. I believe one day he's gonna become a stud and we should give him all the time he needs. We already gave up on jvr which in my mind was a mistake.

I don't think that is the case. I think that's an erroneous report.

Lavi is hard to predict with the goalie rotation, and he may ride Bryz until he has a bad game.

Game five for Laughton tonight.
Have they made their decision to keep him up beyond game 5?

If the Flyers want to improve the defense with a trade, they'll have to use something of value. If they do trade B Schenn, I don't think it's because they gave up on him. I think he's going to be a good player also, but I would deal him in the right move.

Assume the Flyers will not get a top 5 pick. These d-men are ranked high by central scouting. I wouldn't trade up for a d-man.

Rasmus Ristolainen - D - TPS (SML) - 6-3, 207 - PR: 7
Ryan Pulock - D - Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) - 6-0, 209 - PR: 11
Darnell Nurse - D - Soo Greyhounds (OHL) - 6-3, 185 - PR: 25
Nikita Zadorov - D - London Knights (OHL) - 6-5, 229 - PR: 17

in terms of asset utilization, homer has likely squandered an opportunity to gain a young dman while he had a surfeit of young forwards. schenn is best at center and i'm confident he will be a solid plyr if he stays healthy.

And likely all will be gone by the 15th pick as of today.

How has he squandered that opportunity? He traded JVR for a young defenseman. And they still have a good supply of young forwards.
