Said Yakupov acted like an idiot and called him out on his celebration.

Something to the effect of "If you want to end up on Coaches Corner act like an idiot like this guy here" and played the celly.

Went on and on about how fleury's celebration pissed off and motivated the oilers and how the Kings will be looking for revenge, blah blah blah blah

Saying he embarrased Quick because Quick was lying on the ice. What a pile of poop. Watch it all real time Don. As soon as the goal goes in Quick is down on his face for a couple seconds. he gets right up and off the ice. Yak's celebration was awesome. In a different circumstance it would have been too much, but it was appropriate for the moment.

He has always had it out for Russian players this really does not surprise me one bit. The part that bothers me is why he is still on the air for once it would be nice to hear what McLean has to say.

He then went on to compare the Fluery thing saying it worked against Calgary b/c the next game the Oilers were down 3-0 and Messier rallied the troop around not losing to that little puke who embarrassed us.

ffs, I get it, I get what he's saying but this is young raw emotion in the CONTEXT of that game.

Started with the players, I got it from them. Guy is right though, was over the top and disrespectful, but at the same time..... so (frank)ing what, got excited, there were extenuating circumstances surrounding the goal, and it really isn't that big of a deal. Old people get grumpy, they only poop 2 or 3 times a week and everything is really loud and they hurt all the time. Give old grapes a break.

The thing is, it can make the opposition hate you more and have a more core desire in beating your team. And perhaps that's a good thing.

The loser in this case places the anger of their own mistakes on the celebration rather then the fact they lost.

...or at least, times have changed since then so even though he totally was just like he is now, what he is now was more fitting to what we wanted then and ok screw it this sentence just kicked my ass.
