as far as the gm, he had a 5 year plan. total teardown and rebuild.
we are in year 3 right now.
i think hes been a little too cautious, but the team is heading in the right direction. no need to take any drastic measures yet.
if and when we're actually ready to take the next step and he sits on his hands, i then may change my tune.

At least he was honest about his vision. IMO that was Burke's downfall. He could have sold a better rebuild. We could have battled for years for worst team in the NHL.

Burke had to go and make us somewhat competitive, and because of that we'll need another "retool" sooner the. If we had rebuilt the proper way.

Wow, well get it done !! IMO putting Shultz up as your top paired Dman just goes to show the lack of depth the team has. He's a top 4 ATM on a pretty poor D unit. I clearly can't change your opinion in the remaining battery on my phone.

Drop the JBo, draft Jones and trade MSP+2nd+ for PK . Re do your lines and then we'll talk about depth.

I know you know very little about hockey so I'll take the bait. You see, he had a concussion, and is conditioning himself in the AHL playing 20+ min a game to get his feet back. Should he have joined the Leafs right away? Not my call, but he's better at this point in his career the any Oilers D. Will Shultz end up better ?
