That's a trade that could get the Islanders to the playoffs. Think of the Isles line-up after that:

Moulson-Tavares-Okposo/Nino
Grabner-Nielsen-Boyes
Ullstrom-Aucoin-McDonald
Martin-Cizikas-Reasoner/Boulton

Streit-Hamonic
MacDonald-Subban
Visnovsky (in 1-2 weeks)-Carkner

Nabokov
DiPietro

That's a pretty good team. And Josh Bailey will be healthy in a few weeks, and next year, they'll add Ryan Strome, Matt Donovan, and Brock Nelson.

Ya Subban could be the missing piece for the Isles to take the next step.

Can you post Scrivens and Reimer's stats again please. I like how you compared them to Luongo and Schneider after 2 games... Wondering what they look like after 4 games.

B4 the Isles game, Scrivens had the 4th best average, after that game he dropped to 21st. Hopefully Scrivens will get his composure back soon.

I think it's pretty obvious that Reimer will be the main man...They're just going through the motions of getting to that conclusion...

As much as it pains me to say it unless Anderson gets hurt that team is going to get in.

He's playing like a man possessed.

- Canadian kid

Sens feel no entitlement to a playoff spot- and nor should they. Having said that I appreciate the ideas about the team.

While Andersons the backbone (Alfie the heart, Karlsson the legs, Spezza the hands, Neil the muscles) but the mind controlling everything is Paul Maclean. He makes the team overachieve IMO and I believe is more valuable to the organization than anyone outside Brian Murray, Daniel Alfredsson, Erik Karlsson, & Jason Spezza

Btw Ek-- Alfredsson shouldn't be on that list. Crosby has a greater chance of being traded

You know what Bro? I hope the Leafs and Flyers don't do much in the way of dealing (unless it's a total rip-off offer) due to the stupid short season and all of the insanity this off-season will bring...The summer will be a great time to fix things up...

Thats exactly it. Pick up a good draft pick and see what the fallout of a short season is. No panic moves, like Luongo.

Anyways, im out for a bit. Beer run.

Here are the stats shaggy doo was asking for, hope you enjoy them as much as he does.

Reimer 2.43 GAA, .921 SV%
Luongo 2.45, .909 SV%
Schneider 2.78, .913 SV%
Scivens 2.96 GAA, .88 SV%

I think the Leaf #1 job is up for grabs. I did think at the start of the season that the Leafs would roll the dice with Reimer with Ben as the backup but that isn't the case. It's up to either goalie to grab the job & run with it. If time passes & neither seem to wanna grab the job by the horns than that's when Nonis may look at getting a goalie.

from what Nonis has said, there won't be any panic in Leaf land. Flyers have never had alot of patience, plus the expectations are higher in Philly. I hope Philly doesn't panic.

It's a two sided coin when Burke was the GM, While he was more likely than Nonis to make a panic move, he did fleece Calgary & Anaheim in trades. But Nonis isn't about to panic. But can he fleece another team the way Burke could?

I hope they don't panic either...If they can work on trades that will upgrade the d without stripping the team apart then I'm down with that...
