@TSNRyanRishaug: Eric Belanger wasn’t crazy about the celebration, but also admitted he’s an old school thinker.. Doesn’t expect Yakupov to do it again.

ok, I`ll repeat, they can`t send Toivonen down to the OKC. You can`t demote a waiver pickup or he goes back on waivers, 3 pages in and I`m the only one to notice this.........
- mykokes

Actually they can. This was termination waivers. Toivonen has 2 or 3 years left of not having to go on waivers. He was only on it to get the contract ripped up.

It doesn't matter anyway even if he did have to go back on, no one is going to take him.

So perhaps the main news story here is, Khabibulin's injury is more serious than we thought. Let's hope he heals up soon, as it will be tough for the Oilers to go far without having two decent guys in goal.
- Maxbone

Only problem there is that Khabibulin is sh1t.

Pretty much the same thing as the National Anthem chick when she got ready for the other night or the same thing that Dubnyk was thinking on Tuesday night.

No they wouldnt. It was appropriate in the circumstance.

If you saw the lead up to it and the way his team mates reacted...it was all good. They were all in the moment with him.

If it was a different situation? Maybe he would deserve some critisism.

- Iggysbff

I watched the game....it was tying goal. If it was the winner in OT?....MAYBE

And that's part of the reason why, for the most part, we hate those sports and love hockey.

Nobody cool likes Basketball or Soccer.

Players in those sports also flop around, cry and act like pompous jack-asses....would you like NHLers to do that as well?

If Belanger doesnt clutch win that last faceoff, the goal never happens.
- sanfordnson

If Hall doesn't block the empty net try, Belanger doesn't get a chance to win that faceoff and the goal never happens.

I bet Hordi plays against Calgary... not sure why but I bet he does... I think its going to be hard to send MPS back down again... the (frank)ing kid has been playing good IMO... sound defensively... anyone else find Smyth terribly slow - yes we are 3 games in and have an extremely fast team but damn- further- why the (frank) is he taking Ethan Moreau penalties?? Whitney seems to be slowly improving- either that or Fistric made him look good... damn I like Fistric... should of had him a year or so ago...

I don't even know if we'll end up sending PRV down. Petrell could find his time here over.

As for hordi, I'll be shocked if he misses tomorrow.

Ahaha okaaay

at least those sports dont reserve spots on rosters for players who cant even play the games.

its not like no one doesnt flop around, cry, and act like pompous jack asses in the NHL. it happens a poop ton more than you'd like to think.

That was epic, I loved the celebration, something about it was so pure, you really see the love of the game there. Watching the game, it was totally warranted.

For the most part Basketball & Soccer players are completely morons compared to Hockey players...

You compared Yakupov's celly to Soccer, Basketball etc..... Me? I'm fine with the NHL being as much different from those 2 sports as possible.

I didn't make the comparison, but i just don't see how exuberant celebrations should be exclusive to any type of sport. its a competition not a "best attitude contest".

You're right I got the wrong guy....that was who I originally was responding too. Either way, I just don't like it...if it was the GWG it's no big deal because the game is over. Otherwise it's just too much IMO.
