I'm just going on the rumours that Montreal brass doesn't believe anyone should be making big money straight out of entry level. Who knows what's really going on, but if that's the case they should let it go in my opinion.

Isn't there normally a December 1st deadline for restricted free agents to sign a contract or be ineligible to play in the NHL for that year? When did this date get moved to with the shortened season?

other teams' fans will say that this is ludicrous but cs and luo are actually very good friends. they both know that luo will get traded eventually and will be patient until next season.

if you look back on luo's career, he has had a VERY good relationship with his backups. you guys probably heard about that from clemmenson when he was with you guys. luongo is beloved by his teammates (which will be hard for the detractors to understand). he is a team first guy which goes against the media driven narrative.

bottom line, they can co-exist for this season... only.

I don't think he's worth $5+mil a year, but I pray to God they sign him so there's absolutely no chance of the Flyers trading away a good piece to get him... I would puke.. literally

Not quite, but after watching JvR since he was drafted he was my favorite player, I have a signed jersey, I loved his game size hands speed. But he used it once a game, if that. He would literally be invisible. There was one series in the playoffs where Boston worked us, but regardless every shift he was out there he was easily the best player. But that was the only time that he used his talents, game after game. Idk what it is, it's obviously easy for me to type this sitting on my couch, but if he could put it all together and get some kind of drive going, he be a stud.

With that being said, I have been impressed with L.Schenn's game, a lot.
