If you hadn't tweeted something about better spelling this morning, I might have let it pass.

I would focus more on the game of Hockey and what's point blank range for a sniper of Neal's caliber, rather then the invoilving talk of gun ballistics.

Agreed that you misremembered that shot.

Fedetenko is ahead of Wellwood, McGinn, Sestito, Shelley, and Rinaldo on the depth chart. I don't see him being the odd man out.

I don't care where he is on the depth chart. What he gives a lineup is not what the Flyers need. Plus, he's not playing well.

The Flyers have needed some snarl and physicality in the forward group, and they should find a way to keep 2 of Rinaldo, Sestito, McGinn in the lineup on most nights.

Even though he didn't score I thought Matt Read played well. I noticed him in the Devil's game - he had his heart on his sleeve... So I was happy to see him playing with G last night. I fully expect him to lose his spot on the top line to Brayden but I'd like to see him get some more time. I really hope we find a way to keep him. If he stays healthy I think he could be really, really good.

I also thought that Wellwood was inspired by Sestito and Shelley. I've never seen him try to make so many hits in his life.

i'd leave read on that line with g and simmonds and keep schenn at a center position

It was a good win, and honestly we saw the result of across the board improvement-crisper, smarter passing, not forcing things that simply were not there, far better defensive coverage, really good puck support and good physical play.

Even on the lone goal, the PK unit played well. They blocked shots, got in passing lanes and disrupted the flow. It was simply a unfortunate bounce that landed right on the stick of a dangerous guy.

Bryzgalov made several huge momentum saves. He looked locked in, focused and confident last night.

I don't trust either one of those any more than I trusted Carcillo and Downey.

They're all two seconds away from doing something stupid and hurting the team.

Yes, me too....of course now the talk radio is agog with Bryz not knowing what Flyers Hockey is....ya know instead of wondering where Knuble fits or who will replace Meszaros.

It's sad that after a good win, we have to debate a if guy who grew up in Russia knows what a term from the 1970s means.

I disagree. I thought Sestito was extremely effective last night. The interference call was BS.

I agree, if for no other reason than to not impede Schenn's growth as a player.

I don't know if he was known for playing much wing either in junior or the AHL....maybe he did?

he did, no question.

I just think that overall what the Flyers lacked in the first 3 games was some snarl, and they had that last night thanks to Sestito, McGinn (and Shelley).

I'd like to see them keep having that, and Rusty is my choice to have some nights off in favor of the more physical guys.
