I'm not sure, I didn't catch the tweet, just the backlash.

The Flyers were easily the better team last night and deserved the victory. The Flyers still need to find their offense but in my opinion the effort has always been there. Not always the smarts though. If you would have asked me a week ago who was gonna win the cup, I would have said the Rangers. They don't look all that great though.

So apparently the Rangers tweeted an article called "The Girls Guide to Hockey" and now there are some outraged (justifiably so) female fans. The Rangers have deleted the tweet.

The story, which was broken up into a slideshow, had this gem on the opening page.

“That being said, when having either guy friends, brothers, boyfriends or husbands in your life, watching games in any sport becomes unavoidable. And if you live in New York and have one of the aforementioned male figures in your life, then chances are you can’t avoid their obsession with the Rangers. The fact that every single one of the guys watching this football game was wearing a Rangers jersey is a true testament to the loyalty of a Rangers fan. It’s not just a phase. It’s not just an obsession. It’s a Rangers lifestyle.

Wow. I know alot of women that know more about hockey than alot of men. But I did like this insight:

Stoned - When the goalie stops a shot… not when he takes one too many from the bong.

From what I rad the Rangers one was more offensive. At least that one explained hockey terms and didn't have section on how hot Lundqvist is

You can learn how to watch the Rangers in just four simple steps.

They are:

1. They’re EXPECTING You to Ask Questions … Just know WHEN to do it.
2. Get to Know the RANGERS
3. Get to Know Henrik Lundqvist
4. Congratulations

“If you’re completely oblivious to what the end of the lockout means, think of it as the premiere of the newest season of Girls being delayed by months, and then suddenly, it’s announced that it will be coming back but with a lot fewer episodes to make up for lost time.”

This is true. My son and I went to a game there two years ago and the place does smell like a dirty hamper (that someone also peed in), especially the stairwells. Also, the lighting is horrible. We were kind of excited to be going to the hallowed MSG, and it was pretty much a bit letdown.

Also, the Flyers got absolutely destroyed in the game, so that didn't help our appreciation of the venue much either.

I assume a healthy line up looks like this. I feel Laughton isn't safe at the moment.
