That must have been a big dude.
- canadianpenfan

He was a fat red headed kid, easy 300lbs. Sliced straight through the side of my skate, knocking both eyelets out. Protected my foot though. didnt even know they were ruined till i was taking them off..

Not only that, but like I just said, Subban is one of the top young d-men in the game today.
- jak521

I don't particularly like some of his attitude, but I think that's just youth. He has the swagger and confidence. To go with tons of talent. Have to try and trade for him if he is truly available.

I started with Synergys and stayed with them.. These are a step up, but I got them from hockeymonkey for a about a third of the actual price.. couldnt be happier.

i have 4 sets of pads including my bauer's which i've been wearing for 2 years. will have a new custom set of brian's by march, i hope. had 3 other sets of gloves, but sold them all. i have 4 c/a's. think i've finally settled on the itech i've been using for 3 years. got a warrior in october, but i'm getting too many stingers in the stomach. just gave away some skates. my old mask is being refurbished right now, (sold another) getting ready for a paint job.

I think his swagger is ultimately a good thing. He wont back down from anyone.. He is one of the few d-men in the league that I can truly say is an agitator... but he has the ability to back it up.

Plus he has a history of pissing us off and injuring our players, so there's that...

Fans from around the league are taking the "act like you've been there before" approach.

Well, guess what? He hasn't been there before.

People need to get over themselves. And the idea that this is somehow a "Russian" thing is absurd. Plenty of good ol' Canadian boys were celebrating in much more outlandish ways in the NHL in years past. I guess people don't remember stuff like this from Tiger Williams or Theo Fleury, but it happened all the time.

I dont see any way this Subban deal would work without giving up too much on our end... Homer is dumb if Couturier is in a deal.. To me, Coots has proven more defensively last year than Subban has in his career

i dont have a problem with it when it is a spur of the moment type thing. You could tell in his eyes how purely excited he was. I was happy for the kid. Hell its a dream Ive had my whole entire life.

louisvilles and vaughns are 32", itechs are 33". all are top end pads. the vaughns i think are actually new enough to be the spec 11" wide. the others are 12.

It's not like it was in the 2nd period of a 6-1 game either, it was a huge goal. Plus it came after the team had been jobbed by the refs. Let the kid celebrate.

If you dont give up Couturier for Weber, you certainly dont give him up for Subban.

Flyers have no solid young D prospects...None and they are typically competing for a cup every season so unlikely they have a high draft pick to get one. In free agency you overy pay for one, Suter got ridiculous money. Couts, Schenn, Giroux will all need to new long term contracts soon. You gonna be able to pay all of them top salary? Probably not, we all know Giroux is stayin so either Schenn or Couts need to be dangled to get a young D prospect which is Subban at the moment. Maybe you ask Montreal for another young forward back? Why not dangle both Schenns for Subban and a young prospect?

they're in a tough spot...the injuries make it seem logical for a trade, however if these guys battle through this adversity and stay positive it could go a long long way. the one game at a time mentality is essential right now

Not sure Montreal would take Schenns for PK + prospect.

Yeah, it was clear it was shoulder when he got up and kind of held his arm the way they do when it's a shoulder. I just wanted it to be an owie and not an actual injury. But this is the way of the Flyers.
