Schenn and Jake V on the wall on the PP.
They really could use a sniper opposite Giroux on that side of the umbrella.

I'm still stoked over the win last night.
Hope they keep rolling down in Lukin Land.

Ill tell ya what.. I do not expect last night performance EVERY night. That would be fantastic, but also unrealistic. I do, however, know what they are capable of now. We saw them play the best defensive game (team wide) in a long time. Reminded me of game 6 vs the Pens. They opened up the game and set the tone with their physical play and really just shut down the rags.

Did you guys see Nail Yakupov's goal celebration after he scored with 5 seconds left in the game to tie it up? Some people aren't as thrilled about the celebration as Nail was after scoring the goal.

I think it's fine. Showing some emotion once in a while (like when you score your first goal) is fine in my book, it's when you get to the 50th goal, burning stick type thing from OV when it gets annoying. imo, at least.

Funny, I got in this conversation at work yesterday. I'm a big Monty Python fan, but I can totally understand not liking it. The humor is often so dry (which I love).

people need to relax. I personally see nothing wrong with an athlete showing raw excitement. its the scripted crap that annoys me. Edmonton just had a goal disallowed a minute earlier (lame call if you ask me) and the kid scores a nice goal with 10 seconds left to overcome the call. he was excited. love it

I agree. It's cool to see guys get so excited like that. He'll be setting himself up for heavy scrutiny when experiences his first slump though.

I'm cool with it. That was pure joy. It was a reaction. It actually brought a smile to my face.

Think about it- this kid is finally living the dream, and the first goal he scores he batted it put of the air with 4 seconds left AFTER getting the tying goal waved off in the last minute.

I'm fine with it just this once.

If he did something similar (obvioously to s lesser extent) to put the team up by two or three goals in the 2nd period, then I'd have an issue. Given the circumstances, however, I think it was totally acceptable.

Yeah I think the crowd was more excited because of the celebration. That kind of thing gets everyone pumped.

Wasn't it his first NHL goal, too? That, and the late game winner...the kid was pumped.

I really liked the look on Simmond's face after he scored the goal, he was stoic, and incredulous and kind of "whatever" all at the same time when the puck went off his leg into the net. Then he started laughing at the replay. He's a keeper.

No Sarcasm... Shelly looked good last night. Don't know if it was facing a former team or the fact that Lavy was giving everyone equal time but wow. Great game for everyone.
