Its still early but the games I have watched, he just has that goal scorer mentality, really soft hands around the net. Varly was saying in training camp that he is just always ready to shoot no matter where he is on the ice.

More of a passer but he'll still get you 20 -23 goals a year. Solid pickup for you guys. I wanted him resigned but he wouldn't sign for 600k a year so the Isles let him walk for nothing

He's very good at creating time and space in the offensive zone. He is very patient and has great vision. He's a great guy too. Hung out with my friends and I after a game at the bar next to coliseum. Isles letting him walk for nothing, or not keeping him is snows biggest blunder in my opinion.

I don't think anyone suggested that. One person said to play Boulton and I immediately responded 'Boulton v. Lucic" I don't favor playing Boulton and I think the best way to counter Boston's size and toughness is to go in the complete opposite direction. Out finesse them.

This has been tried before with the Bruins. It seems to piss them off more.

Maybe they will after the season. To buy him out today, the player would have to agree to it. He won't
- Isles316

Lets keep in mind we are talking DP....You cannot buy out a injured player, see where I'm going with that. How does a man like Wang earn his mega millions with signing terrible employees to contracts as DP's with no production?

Trust me if Richardey was even close to what they had hoped for his contract would have been the smartest contract ever. But with that said, please just shoot me, I care to hear about poopty Ricky as much as I foundly remember Cashin.

I need to settle down, tell myself this team is on the up swing and that the late 90's and all of the first decade of the 2000's are in the past. And yes we as Islander fans will actually have a team that we can EXPECT to win and will love to cheer for again.....

My Therapist told me I should not speak of those horrible horrible horrible years ever again. More pain and suffering than any loyal fan base should have to endure.

I feel the need to punch a Rags fan just to make myself feel better.

DP's last 5 games in Boston: 0-5 .880 save %.
This should work wonderfully for the Isles tonight.

He is more of a passer.

He is playing with Duchene and Landeskog, Dutch is more of a play maker and Landy is a typical powerfoward. PA ends up getting a lot of space and time to shoot with those 2 getting the pucks from ther corner and finding him open in front of the net

It's funny, sometimes i catch myself watching him waiting for him to collapse and get taken off as sick as that is? Kind of like watching NASCAR waiting for a crash. Christ, as much as we all make fun ALL of us would be estatic if he could actually play at this level still and contribute. I'm kind of excited to watch tonights game in a sick masochistic kind of way

That's good. He was more of a set up man for us but good that he's expanding his game. Wish we could've kept him or should I say Snow was smart enough too. Thought he'd work out well for you guys

Yup and the Isles were too cheap to bring him back and then all the Kool Aid guzzlers were saying JT was the reason PAP had success

he is looking ver slick and very polished this year so far. Was hoping him training with Crosby and his staff this offseason would pay off, seems like he has learned a few things. Changed his whole life style, apparently he is gluten free and crap like that to help.

I can't wait until he shoots a D-Man a dirty look after he lets an easy one go through his glove for a goal

All FA's get overpaid and with our payroll a 67 point guy who is 26 and was a FA is worth 4 mil. Losing those 67 points is going to have a negative effect. Sorry but I'm a bit skeptical about Acoin or Boyes reahing that number.

When David booth is over 4 mill a season, I think I would rather pay PA that 4 and day of the week

I LOVE when he does that!!!!! Can you imagine what's going through said Dman's mind when he does that???? I have this feeling they secretly hate the guy. Of course he has Goring's endorsement. Remember when he blamed Nielsen for not letting DP know when the draw was happening??? Classic!

There are alot of other players getting paid more than that that aren't as good.
