Is it just me or does anyone else think that Carkner's response to Phaneuf was not enough? Understood Dion TURTLED (as he always does) and the refs where right in there. But at another point in that 3rd period someone should have sent a message to that D-bag Phaneuf!
- Oglethorpe72

Agreed, a stronger message would've been better for sure. I crapped myself when he rode him into the boards. They ran him a little in the third but they could've been a little more rough about it. Dion is Dion, it's what he does. Cheap shot artist. Have no idea how he got away with that one yesterday? Anyone looking for a laugh got to the Leaf thread and read the post from 7 pm on. Funny how their demeanor changes. Especially wingzforlife who's a big Islander troll. What the guy is doing on a Leafs blog bashing the Isles is beyond me?

Nabby wasn't especially strong last night especially in the first. The Leafs were just that bad defensively. Nabby made some nice stops in the third to keep the Leafs out of it. Overall one of the better games I've seen in some time. Nice to see.

I missed the game, I was working down at our local rec center, making ice for the kids on 2 rinks, one with hockey boards around it. In minus -11 farenheit, you can make a lot of ice..

The outdoor rinks are awesome, for kids of all ages.

some wing fans cant get over the fact that the Islanders picked up nabakov of waivers when they really needed a goalie.. And the funny part is If nabby and the wings wanted a happy marriage why did Nabby sign with the isle when he could have with the wings..

The wings will be where the Isles were sooner then later.

It was actually. Have you ever made a rink? It is fun to try to get the ice perfect.

I can't see the Isles winning tonight.

Raising their hands above their heads so many times in such a short period of time probably tired them out.

Again with the valid points you are killing me. The win is certainly more important! Just tired of that D-bag being the player that he is. Would still say the message was not sent in the form of dont F with JT or you will get your ass handed to you, no matter who the offender is.

You are the man! Outdoor rinks are great and I am sure all who skate on your rink will have a great time. That's how those Canadian kids get so damn good!

I see them winning, every time everyone on here talks all day about how they are going to get blown out, they usually win.

Maple Leafs fans crack me up...they have sucked as long as the Islanders plus spent tons of money on their team and they have the arrogance to bust our balls...

I have not. Sounds like it'd be pretty cool though. Played on ponds alot when i was a kid but never did the home made variety. Our winters haven't been cold enough for quite some time to hop on a pond.

This guy had a boner for the Isles long before the Nabakov Debacle. That reminds me, anyone have a Vis update?!?!?!?!

I'd like to see someone like Finley or Carkner take a suspension to send a message

last nights win was huge because it's gonna get ugly tonight with Dp in net. Only. 10 hours until DP is giving up soft goals and looking up at his D like it's their fault
- Vukota

So true Vukota. The excuses from Jack and everyone will be comical if he has a bad game.

It is very cool. On the hockey surface, we have 2 NHL quality nets for the kids, we don't paint the lines, but about 100 kids will be on it today.
