Philly is already talking to Montreal about Subban. Holmgren won't let this guy go by if he wants him, especially to a team like the NYI. He is dumb enough to throw a a huge offer sheet at him or throw more then what is needed in a trade to get him.
Also, LA has also been looking for defense and might not let this guy go by without a fight. Snow does not have the experience or credibility to compete with those two or make a deal with a team like Montreal for one of their best players.
Hope I'm wrong but enough already, the Isles are not getting him.

Please do not let Philly get him. I'm tired of the same teams getting all the top guys.

Like others have already said, the Isles played a good game for them last night. 3rd line has really stepped up. Ullstrom is fun to watch!
Tavares looks real frustrated every shift being shadowed by 2, sometimes 3 guys.
KO needs to learn to stay on his feet and remain in the play.
Boyes has played well but looked scared last night.
Finley's mindset seems to be "I hope I don't screw this up" everytime he touches the puck.

Boyes did look scared. I would put Martin with JT. I'm very impressed with Ullstrom. KO has me beyond fustrated. Finley needs to sit. It's Hickey time. Jacks needs to send a message bring it every game or you will sit.

you realize that the players get to choose which the team they want to play for

I wonder what Bailey's playing shape will be when he reutrns in almost a month from now.

Vis also keeps delaying his grand debut here. Supposed to be another week tacked on to his delay

I agree. I've seen enough from KO on the top line unless he is willing to bring it each game. Jack really needs to be willing to sit guys. He seemed unhappy with some guys last nigt so do not put out the same lineup Sunday.
- ses111

Guy does not belong on the top line, been saying it since last year. Just like Frans not being a second line center Okposo is NOT a first line winger.

If they finally got the right goalie it would. Flyers still seen as a very respected team and it helps them at the gate.

I'm not sure where KO fits right now? Frans no question should not be on the 2nd line. Watching last night you can see why Boyes is no longer a big scorer. He likes to stay on the outside away from traffic. Good luck trying to score from far away.

If they traded for Subban, they would have nothing left for a good goalie. Unless they hire a team of hypnotists and therapists and make a miracle out of Bryz.

They played well tonight... ran out of gas @ the end.

They need Subban!!!

I agree.

Isles played pretty well last night although they were exposed again.

To small. To passive. Not enough talent. Short on goal tending.

They gave it a great effort though.

One thing that really concerns me is Carkner.

That short right from Lucic should never have put him down.

With Carkners size and strength. He should have been able to handle Lucic or at least posted a draw.

If his jaw has turned to glass. He's not the answer to our enforcer issues.

And thank goodness the linesmen broke up Martin vs Thornton before that got started. I think Martin may have gotten a beat down in that match up.

We dont match up well against bigger talented teams. We got pushed around alot last night.

But they were in the game and even controlled the game for awhile.

How many Bruin Shots went wide of the net??? DP was out of position on a number of occasions and Boston shot wide. They had point blank shots, and shot wide.

Please trade KO while he still has some value.

i don't think carkner has to win every fight he just has to be willing to drop the gloves and stand up for his team mates.. look alot of guys have lost fights to lucic..i'm not looking that much into it

ok...

so the St. Louis Blues, one of the best teams in the league signed Redden and the Sharks with loads of talent signed Gomez. Signing those guys can only make your team better.

Good day sir.

- Mr.Black

Again you are an idiot or retarted! Either way I should not pick on the less fortunate. Do you even have a clue that either of these players production was next to 0 last season?
Gomez is a great team guy with little to no points and Redden was a joke when he signed for 6-7 mil with the rags. Don't believe me look it up!

Subban to the Isles heating up!!!

FROM TSN

While a new deal does not appear to be imminent, restricted free-agent defenceman P.K. Subban and the Montreal Canadiens are still talking.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com, Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin met with Subban's camp on Friday.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported that the Canadiens are standing firm on a two-year deal worth roughly $5 million.

Subban will huddle with his family and his agent, Don Meehan, over the weekend to think things over, but Dreger tweeted Saturday that little or no progress had been made.

The two sides are expected to meet again on Monday.

Since the lockout ended, Subban has said several times that he is committed to working out a deal and staying with the Canadiens.

However, in Thursday's edition of the Montreal Gazette, the Toronto native said that economics do play into the situation.

"I want to play for the Canadiens. I want to help the team," Subban told the newspaper. "With the young players we have in the organization right now, we still have a great opportunity to win. But for my style of game and for what I do for the team, the amount of minutes I play and for what I bring to the table, I have to be fairly compensated."

SCLI while Lucic is a beast it is a concern Carkner went down like that. Regarding the team I do not need to see a bunch of fighters but I want to see guys driving the net and giving and taking hits to make a play. I have no patience for guys floating and staying on the outside. DP was not a bad as I though but is still not the answer even as a backup. Poulin could be getting some much needed learning from Nabby.

I always agree with what you have to say but I strongly disagree with the comment about the fight. All it takes is a nice flush shot to hit in you in the right spot and you're gonna go down regardless of now big you are or how small or big the puncher is. No shame in losing a fight to a fellow heavyweight. You're going to win some and you're going to lose some. Not to mention the fact that Lucic is a beast!!! You would be surprised how much damage a short powerful punch can do especially if landed in the right spot. I like what Carkner brings to this team, you're not going to win them all
